Book this accomodation, you will not regret it! We started our South Africa trip with visiting the Kruger Nationalpark and it was the best decision. We were warmly welcomed by Val and Neil. Their lodge is located in Marloth Park, which is 20min from the entrance (Crocodile Bridge) to Kruger Nationalpark. It is a beautiful lodge (hand-build by Neil) in a great area. You will already see lots of animals in their garden (like Kudus, Impalas, groundhogs, Zebras, Bush Baby etc.) and around Marloth Park. The lodges are spacious and very Cozy for relaxing after a long safari day. Val helped us with everything: detailed descriptions on the best roads to take, booking of all safari tours, filling out national park forms and more. We booked breakfast and dinner and it's heaven. There is a good chance that you will overeat as there is so much to choose from. On safari days Val packed us a big lunch box. We had amazing 5 nights at Neils and Vals place and would highly recommend staying with them.

Val and Neil were excellent hosts. They were very helpful and ensured we had a very pleasant stay. The property was comfortable, the rooms were very well equipped and clean. We couldn’t find any faults. Val’s knowledge came very handy in planning things to do. Overall, we were very happy.

Absolutely nothing, everything was great!

We absolutely loved everything the lodge had to offer. Val and Neil are fantastic hosts, they give great attention even to the small details and are very friendly and kind! They make you feel like home and the lodge itself is very scenic! Bonus are the Kudus and the warthogs that occasionally stretch their legs in the garden area in front of the pool!

Valerie and Neil have an amazing place to stay and are the best hosts we have ever had. From the stories at the campfire to the lovely breakfast and dinner, everything was there. They made sure everything was alright and definitely went just that little extra. A lot of animals visited the place during the day, so there was always something to see (or you would just call Charlie!) We loved every single minute of our stay and wished we could have stayed longer. We hope to get back soon!

The hosts are absolutely wonderful. They went out of their way to accommodate our needs. At night we could hear the lion roar close by which was thrilling. We had the opportunity to see some of wild life like the Kudus right at the property.

Possibly one of the best and most memorable stays we have had as a couple. Val and Neil are maybe some of the best hosts we have ever encountered. The added game-drive with Hayley is a must! The property is amazing! Also, very clean. The owners take pride in their property and they take an excellent care. I’ve been telling all my friends about this property. Selfishly, I don’t want others to find out. 😂 The owners are so friendly and helpful. Don’t skip the meals. they are so yummy. We wish we stayed the full week there instead of splitting it up between two properties. The Lord willing, we would like to go back. Thank you, Val and Neil! You guys are awesome! Don’t change a thing.

More of a suggestion than a criticism. It could be good to find a way to connect also this room to the generator for when load shedding occurs. But, this was no real issue for us as we ate our meals at the lodge.

We had a lovely stay. Firstly, Val and Neil were great hosts. Since it was New Years Eve we ate together and then sat by the fire until midnight listening to Neil's stories of the bush. We also ate the breakfast the day after, which was excellent. Val is a great cook! The lodge itself is beautiful with much attention to every detail, in the rooms and in the common area.
