The hotel is nice and modern. The staff were very welcoming. We had rooms next door to each other, with a joint balcony that my children managed to squeeze under the divider! So technically interconnecting! The rooms were a good size and lovely and clean.

It was easy to hear people moving outside of the room - early mornings when cleaning began and late evenings when people in neighboring rooms came home. I assume it was the location of the room I had got.

My biggest complaint is that I had requested the room to be made romantic for my partner as I discuss with the hotel 2 weeks ago, but upon entering the room nothing has been done. There was some load bang or noise that went of every hour or so, so I heard it throughout the whole night. I'm not too bothered by it but other people might. I wanted to use the bathrobes but they didn't feel very high quality and didn't look very appealing to wear. I would have like to use the tv but had a weird interface, I wanted to at least install Netflix or something so that I could use my account but the interface doesn't allow it. I am sorry to complain but beside these everything in the hotel was amazing and the service was absolutely amazing.

The Hotel was beautiful and the interior looks a lot better then what the phots show. I loved the koi pond that goes underneath the building inside the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We went to have dinner and was absolutely impressed with the food quality and presentation, we were planning on skipping breakfast but was so impressed with dinner we had to stay. The room was stunning and very clean.

For a 5* hotel I expected some level of service. Although lights were on during loadshedding, the kitchen was not working and it was dinner time. There’s a phone in the room, however no information on important contacts like reception or room service. I had to go down stairs to place an order (well, that defeats the purpose of room service).

It was just what we needed. A quiet place. I only saw maybe a 10 people or so. No kids running around and stuff like that. The meal portions were massive (sometimes a little too much so we mostly skipped lunch).

A pleasant stay in Durban. Breakfast was however really not a 5 star one. Good value for money, however for 5* it should be more love for the details and more attention for the guests.

The hotel is absolutely amazing, a true luxury boutique hotel. Views are amazing, a small enough hotel to feel luxurious and be pampered. Breakfast caters for all tastes and has a great variety. I will definitely return here on my next trip.

We were a little disappointed with the breakfast itself. Everything was beautifully plated, but fell short on taste.

The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The view from the hotel's rooms and restaurant is gorgeous, and the quiet neighbourhood is exactly what we were looking for. Service at breakfast was impeccable and fast, without every making us feel rushed.
