Fordoun Hotel and spa provides a picturesque setting with an exceptional spa, making the visit truly memorable. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the overall enjoyment of the stay. This is definitely a destination I look forward to returning to.

Arriving to this tranquil venue was such a delight, loved the cottage and the outlook over the gazing cows in the meadows. The bedding was superb and all the little extras like the rusks and milk to go with the complimentary coffee and tea.

We arrived quit late at night, there is no one in the reception and the place was dark make it very difficult to find our chalet

The pool at the tennis court was still dirty from a function the day before at 9:30am. There were no towels for the patrons and the loungers were dirty. For a 5 star establishment we expected better burgers and fries.

Breakfast selections were amazing. Our car was washed and polished before we left. A wonderful surprise! Rooms were luxurious and beautifully spaced out.

Previously arranged early book-in was not possible due to previous guests leaving later than expected, We were however made to feel at home in the lounge and bar area, while we waited. The carpet in the room could have been cleaner. Perhaps a good wet carpet wash will do the trick. We found somebody elses toe nail clipping on the carpet beside the bed, after stepping on this. Curtains looked untidy and needed to be hooked back on the rail.

We loved the peace and quiet, the fresh air and the beautiful scenery. I enjoyed the early morning fly fishing (No. 08 Olive Red-Eyed Damsel FTW) and close-up otter sighting very much. But most of all, we enjoyed the food and the proper rest and relaxation. 10/10 for the dinners. The bed was very comfortable and linen was clean and crisp. I enjoyed the short stories which were delivered to the room by the bedtime turndown service. I beleive the spa treatment was great..., my Fiancee fell alseep during the head, neck and shoulders message ;)

We could not fault anything. The room was comfy and pleasant. Attention to detail in the room from the staff was excellent. They were very discrete. The restaurant was outstanding. The service and food was unbelievable. The spa treatment was really good. Overall an amazing five days at Fordoun.

Breakfasts were amazing. The room we stayed in was so comfortable so even though we had a few misty days it was still comfortable to relax in the room and on our veranda.

Early morning noise outside my room was a little annoying. Golf carts and staff gathering at the conference center, situate right opposite my room.

The Spa is world class! The setting is beautiful and peaceful. Good food! Very friendly and helpful staff.

It was raining on the evening that we checked in. I was not very happy that the golf cart did not have any covers.With the result ,we were soaking wet by the time we reached out room 23.My daughter was a bride getting dressed at our room and the cart was not conducive for her getting into with her bridal gown.On 31 Oct 2023 we visited Fordoun to see what our rooms would look like as we were preparing for the wedding.We were told that we had Room 1 ( which was booked for my son) and room 19 for my daughter & myself.Only to find on arrival we were told that we had Room 1 and Room 23.... I am aware that room 19 and 23 are the same .However I could not understand why the rooms were changed without my knowledge. It was a further distance that we had to be subjected to with the rain and the golf cart.When I asked abt the change at reception, I did not receive a validation.
