Honestly one of the best boutique hotels I have ever stayed and I’m very fussy and have stayed in many worldwide hotel! The staff are so friendly welcoming and Andrew is just such a great guy! Was very impressed and loved my room so accommodating will 100% be back

Pool needed cleaning but there is a limit to what you can achieve for an outdoor pool so cannot complain much

Great, quiet and serene property with a large garden. Excellent place to relax. Safety standards were high as well with more than a dozen CCTV cameras. Mall was 7 mins drive as was the central business district

I assumed the location in Sandton would allow for some walking to restaurants etc. That was not the case Can't walk anywhere.

The breakfast was very good. The facility was very quiet and the grounds and building are beautiful

The food was amazing. House was in a great location and the grounds were large and well maintained. Our room was of a high standard with large comfortable bed area and separate lounge. Bathroom facilities were spacious. The house had a communal lounge room, large dining room, breakfast room and large grounds including seating and pool.

The most significant impact was the load shedding that the whole country is experiencing right now. While the property had a generator and the power returned fairly quickly, it was still a nuisance and caused devices to not be able to charge or interruptions viewing activities on TV.

The staff was accommodating and provided for all of our needs. The pool was having some extensive work done during our visit so it was not able to be used. The property experienced some significant impacts from the load-shedding that happens throughout the country and it caused significant disruptions to our stay. The staff was very accommodating and tried to work around the issues. The room was beautiful and comfortable to stay in.

This fully met our expectations - no complaints!

Staff were exceptional - nothing was too much trouble! Food was wonderful. Setting was beautiful. Pool wasn’t in use because it was end of season and due to be renovated but we still sat on the comfy loungers with towels provided. Tea and coffee provided in the room. Fridge too.

A couple of things needed attention. Panel in our bathroom was broken and one of the chairs in the bedroom was a little soiled. Little things just needed sorting. Pool area under construction

Beautiful old house in lush surroundings. Room was very comfortable and staff were great. Breakfast was superb and taxis via Uber was easily arranged. Very safe and secure.

The lack of curtains and the sole presence of curtains causes the sunlight to wake you up really early in the morning. Also, it gets a bit noisy outside due to few animals; it is completely understandable and it is manageable, but are if you are quite sensitive to noises and lights you need to think about it.

Great location, amazing place full in the gardens, really quiet and private. My room in front of the pool was amazing, really spacious and cozy. The bed was really comfortable and large, the shower is huge and room's cleaning was perfect.

We loved everything! It‘s an amazing place in a beautiful small park just 5 minutes away (by car, of course — you don‘t walk in South Africa) from the country‘s biggest and most fancy mall „Sandton City“.

The bed was a bit too soft in my room (the suite 1) but that's just because I like firmer mattresses.

Beautiful property with an old-charm feel. The gardens are beautifully landscaped and the rooms are all different and well appointed. The service was great, my friends and I felt like we were in an intimate country house, but the property is just 10 min away from Sandton business district. I would love to stay here again!
