We enjoyed everything! The lodge is simply astonishing, the staff was kind and promptly helped us with everything and, of course, the safáris were the most amazing things we met there! Absolutely recommended!

After the morning game drive (great chance that you spot the Big 5) you get an perfect breakfast. Friendly waitress and staff help you to make your visit outstanding. Same for the game drives. The ranger and driver both make your stay unforgettable. Rooms are perfectly clean and the roomservice is great. Spa and wellness we will recommend to everybody in between your game drives. The evening game drive end when it is dark. An amazing experience. Well done Kapama!!!

Everything about our stay here was exceptional and we were lucky to see the big 5 and stay in such a beautiful setting. We felt our safari drivers/guide Mary and Michael went above and beyond - they were both incredible at spotting animals and extremely knowledgeable. All the staff were kind and we can’t forget our waiter Gloria who greeted us with a big smile every meal time. Overall the very best holiday we could have asked for.

Our Safari guide Nevermind and our tracker Ansi were the best. Very helpful and friendly. Thanks to them we were able to see the Big 5. I also want to thank our server Rodney whowas very friendly and very helpful. The resort is luxurious and blends with the environment, we were able to see animals while eating our breakfast.

There's really almost nothing to complain about - Yes it is a bit expensive but the experience you will have is once in a lifetime. - I blame Kapama 100% for the weight gain during our stay there because of the delicious food they served us :-)

Kapama River lodge is truly the getaway you need and deserve - Staff are amazing, kind, courteous and caring - The kitchen staff catered for all diets and their food was amazing, it was like having fine dining every evening - Our rooms were exceptional (we were lucky enough to have the Royal suite) which had an amazing view and was large and comfortable - Facilities were great, with a well kitted gym and fantastic spa - Game drives were excellent, our ranger was knowledgeable and a constant source of entertaining information. We were lucky enough to not only experience the big 5 but also gain a better understanding of the ecology and flora around the lodge - Location from Hoedspruit airport is almost a stone throw, the airport is literally across the entrace to the lodge.

Nothing we didn’t like!

We had the best 3 days. A beautiful, luxurious lodge - immaculately clean with excellent, friendly service. Gloria looked after our every need with her warm personality. The hotel being immaculate is a bonus as it’s all about the game drives - wow! Indescribable and exceeded all of our expectations. Our guide Rassie was so knowledgable, friendly and persistent, doing his utmost to make sure we had the best sightings. Our trackers Bianca and Mike also did a great job. You spend a lot of time with the group over the days and we had a great laugh, it was like been with friends. Every need is taken care of when it comes to the logistics, timings etc. and there is really no need to think - just enjoy this amazing experience. Thank you everyone at Kapama. I am crying happy tears to be leaving x

The only thing we could fault was the shower missing a separate shower head. The large overhead shower head was spraying water in different directions and was hard to avoid getting your hair wet.

All food was outstanding. We loved the outside terrace with the fire pit lit every night.
