Train the restaurant staff the minor issues I mentioned above.

Room was good. Breakfast was fine but the cutleries was never in order, I had to ask for a tea spoon of breakfast spoon everyday . One thing I would suggest is show the staff in the restaurant how to lay a table properly for different meal. I asked for teapot , I was told there is no lid for the pot.

Had to ask 4 times for a fan as the apartment didn’t have aircon. In the end we gave up asking. Initial room didn’t lock so we had to move which was a pain day one.

Restaurant and bar staff were very friendly.

The location was excellent but the room was somewhat tired and it is in need of a revamp. The bathroom cabinets are well past their best. Balcony furniture is limited and uncomfortable. Only 1 chair in the room. Most days we had to request replenishment of the drinking water rather than it being done as part of the room cleaning. Shuttle bus a bonus albeit airport runs took precedence and some days the shuttle was not available.

The breakfast was good however the staff were somewhat slow and at times seemed unhelpful. Supply of some items e.g. bread had to be requested to be replenished and the tea and coffee process was slow and labourious.

Breakfast coffee is awful. An investment in some coffee machines for the restaurant would be a great idea.

Our daughter's bedroom had only one window leading to an internal hotel aisle, so no fresh air came through the open window. The bathrooms were not as nice as we expected for this kind of hotel and especially the price we paid. We were not informed about the regular load shedding in our part of the hotel. The South African Power Supplier shuts down electricity during certain time frames. The hotel didn't provide us with information on these planned downtimes. So after washing my hair I was surprised by a shutdown while blow-drying my hair. In our part of the hotel was no back-up for these energy downtimes. Not even flashlights or candles were provided by the hotel, so one night we were in our room at 7:30 pm in total darkness. But the most memorable event during our stay in the Lagon beach Hotel & Spa was a late dinner (10 pm) we had in one of their restaurants: the three of us shared 2 food platters. We then spent most of the night over the bathroom toilet throwing up. We hadn't had anything to eat since 2 pm in the afternoon, so it was clear for us that the reason for our sickness was the food in the restaurant at the Hotel. The night was horrible for all of us and the next day we stiil were very weak and slept most of the day. So we were not able to take part in our booked and pre-paid Hop-on Hop Off Bus Tour in Capetown. We reported the "incident" to the hotel Manager who was very friendly, but did not actively do anything to mitigate the situataion (e.g. offer water and light snacks). We ended up ordering and paying for toast and apples (crackers were not available at this hotel). It is a nice hotel but the appartments was overpriced. We paid 330 Euros per night (plus 38 Euros for breakfast each morning).

Our family of 3 had a nice appartment in the new part of the hotel. The appartment had two rooms and 2 bathrooms. Living room and master bedroom had a wonderful view on the lagoon. Breakfast (not included in hotel price) was very good with a big selection and fesh fruit. From the breakfast room we had a beautiful view on the lagoon. Staff was very friendly. The hotel has plenty of parking lots in the parking garage and also outside.
