Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Wonderful small bush lodge with a great host and wonderful guides. We were made very welcome, like part of the family, sharing stories around the fire before enjoying a wonderful dinner. The game drives were excellent with numerous lion sightings and a great variety of other game. During the day the elephants come to the water hole directly outside the fence and stay for a long time.

Saudi ArabiaThe location is beautiful! A totally wild and close to nature experience. Our guides, Hardus and Neil, took every small step to make sure our stay was comfortable and nothing was lacking. I'd recommend this to everybody. The game drives were exceptional! Hardus is an extremely proficient guide as well as a MasterChef! Delicious food! Also the support staff working in the background made everything just perfect! The surroundings and.ambience are beautiful! We witnessed so many animals close to the lodge itself! I'd wish we stayed longer!

IsraelOur experience at Muweti was absolutely unforgettable. Mike and Laura were the kindest, most welcoming people who made our honeymoon feel so special. We made lifelong friends and were experienced nature like never before. Visits to lion families, elephants visiting us at the pool. We can’t wait to go back!

I cannot put into words how incredible our stay was at Muweti. Mike and Laura are the perfect hosts, we loved our game drives with Mike who teaches you how he tracks the game, the local environment and the conservation efforts of the park. They really make you feel like part of their family and the food is absolutely delicious, a real introduction to SA cooking. The tented lodges are brilliant and are the perfect mix between authentic but also holiday. I loved that none are overlooked and spend hours one day watching the elephants walk past. I have never been so impacted by a stay before and will always treasure the memories we have. Thank you for the most perfect stay!

SingaporeWe had the most amazing experience at Muweti. Hardus was incredible - friendly, caring and so knowledgeable & passionate about animals. We saw many wonderful animals and we learnt so much from Hardus & Byron our amazing guides. The lodge itself is lovely - clean, spacious and with a brilliant campfire at night! A real highlight of the lodge is being able to look out into the vast bush and even see some animals come up to the watering hole close by (we saw a herd of elephants!) To anyone considering this lodge: you should definitely book your stay here - I guarantee you won’t regret it!

GermanyIt was a great stay with you. Our 2-week trip began with you at the lodge and we were more than satisfied. it was the perfect start Courteous hosts, experienced guides, all very helpful and super nice. Many thanks also to Jana, who did 4 game drives with us. We learned and saw a lot. One noticed immediately that Jana knows her way around very well and she enjoys her job. The lodges were very clean and tidy. With warm water, showers, bathtubs and balconies. We had breakfast, meal and dinner every day and it was delicious and more than enough! The hosts took great care of us and gave us the best tips for our further vacation. All in all 10 out of 10. Thanks very much!

South AfricaHaving stayed in a number of loges and hotels, there is definitely nothing to be changed in Muweti bush lodge.
The dining area was lovely as all guests were at a long table with the guides and owners, before that we are at the braai area for a fireside chat as well. The morning and afternoon game drives with Hardus and Jana were incredible, great viewing of animals plus insights on trees and stars as well. Excellent early morning coffee/tea and afternoon drinks plus driving and game viewing by both Hardus and Jana.

NetherlandsWhat. A. Place. Forget all your commercial factoryrun lodges. Hesitant at first, but pleased once arrives: Muweti Bush Lodge is a product of love. Laura and Mike will go above and beyond, yet give you your space to enjoy in peace and quiet. Amazing pool, huge in comparison to many other lodges. The food is delicious and only surpassed by the sheer quantity! Big eaters are welcomed here! Mike is like an uncle that loves sharing his passion about wildlife, and when a lion roars during desert, he will jump up and drive you out for a quick drive. This is passion first, business second. Be warned, you might fall in love of the place!
