Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThere was really nothing I disliked about this stay.
My wife and I stayed 5 nights. It surpassed my expectations in all aspects of our stay. The game drives are amazing. The private nature preserve experience, while a bit expensive, turned out to be a good value. This preserve is adjacent to the park and the wildlife has unfettered access to both. The level of intimacy in the wildlife viewing just cannot be appreciated until you experience it. I do not think you could get this in a simple excursion into Krueger Park itself where you are limited to the public roads. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and personable. The food, accommodations, and service were all excellent. One afternoon the elephants dug up the water lines from the well. The staff worked thru the night to restore service by morning. Even this added to the adventure.

IsraelNothing really. It takes some effort to get there but the remoteness is part of the magic
Beautiful place in an amazing location overlooking a big part of the reserve, I could see more than 30 elephants from the swimming pool. Game drives were great, luxurious rooms and personal service.

AustraliaWe loved the small boutique approach to everything. There weren’t loads of other people staying so we felt looked after in every way. The river room was just superb. Huge. And overlooking the river bed below. The staff were amazing. Our personalised guide, Matt, was such a great guy, and guide, who was passionate about everything to do with sharing the best safari experience possible. Thoroughly recommend.

IndiaThe bar can be stocked up a bit more..and a standard menu for food might help (over and above the customisations)
All credit to the staff including the Ranger/Guide (Wess) for going out of their way to create a memorable experience. The lodge is serene, extremely well kept and loaded with warm smiles and care. The rooms are spacious..the food and bar arrangements are spot on. Too many things to rave about Klaserie but, then it will need a dedicated blog

United StatesThe views from the property were beautiful, the food excellent, and our room absolutely dreamy. Our guide Matt was knowledgeable, funny, and did a great job including us in the search for various animals. The rest of the staff were incredibly warm, welcoming and thoughtful. We came for our honeymoon so some of the special touches like a private dinner were much appreciated.

IsraelIt was a bit hard to find our way to the camp. It's about 20-30 min drive from the reserve gate to the camp, provided you know the way. There are a few turns that you need to take. At the junctions there are wayfinding signs, but most of them don't have the Klaseri Drift on them, instead they have their old name, Misava. Because of that, it took us longer than anticipated to reach the camp and we missed lunch and 1 game drive. The staff were kind to us and suggested to give us a ride to join the game drive, but we were tired from the drive and accepted an offer for a late lunch instead, which was most appreciated.
We recently had the pleasure of staying at Klaseri Drift for two nights and my experience was exceptionally good. The camp is situated in a beautiful natural setting that is surrounded by animals, making it a truly immersive and memorable experience. The number of rooms in the camp is small, which provides a private and peaceful atmosphere that is perfect for relaxing. Additionally, the camp features a viewpoint with a pool, which offers a fantastic opportunity to see animals while enjoying a refreshing swim. During our stay, between the game drives, we observed a group of giraffes hanging about in the area, which was an amazing experience. The service at Klaseri Drift was simply the best we have ever experienced. The staff were extremely attentive to our every need and went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I would like to give a special mention to Brenda, who was particularly helpful in assisting us with our stay and also helped us to plan our next days of adventure in the KNP. The game drives were an absolute highlight of our trip. We were fortunate enough to see a variety of animals, including a leopard, lions, giraffes, and elephants, among others. Our guide, Kuotso, was incredibly knowledgeable and also a lot of fun, making the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, I would highly recommend Klaseri Drift to anyone looking for an exceptional safari experience. The combination of a beautiful natural setting, excellent service, and unforgettable game drives make it a must-visit destination for any wildlife enthusiast.

Our guide for the week, Matt, was well experienced and showed us very beautiful parts of the Klassrie reserve. Also, the two cooks at the camp JB and Lance prepared excellent. FranceGame drives: Kutsho our guide was exceptional. Always in a good mood, always having some interesting facts to tell us about the nature surrounding us and he went to great lengths to make it possible for us to see the animals. He also provided us with rain ponchos on the colder and rainy drives we had. The coffee breaks and sun downer drinks in the bush are unforgettable. Food: The food we were served was exceptional. Staff: Our butler David always ensured that we had what we needed and wished for and was very attentive. Overall the staff was very warm and welcoming. Location: The lodgel is on a little hill looking over the Misava River where we could spot several times elephants, girafes and antilopes. Room/Cleanliness: Our room was very clean with working AC for the hot days.

NetherlandsThe manager, in all her friendliness, can be a bit too dominant and overwhelming at times. it’s a thin line between ‘elegant’ and ‘too much’ but at this level you expect this to be understood naturally. we were, for example, made to feel that our voluntary tip for the team at the end was not enough. In appreciation for the hospitality we gave > €150. it’s the only remark we have as for the rest all was amazing! maybe one small tip: add mosquito doors to the sliding doors in the room to allow for the sounds, smells and breeze to come into the room, but to keep insects out.
beautiful boutique home. stunning views. great food, lovely staff, very knowledgeable ranger, comfortable room: Simply perfect. great for couples for a 2-4 day stay. it’s a bit far from nearest facilities (>1 hr drive) but in return you get amazing views up till the horizon where you don’t see anything manmade: Truly unique

GermanyEverything was really nice! Enjoyed our stay to the fullest. Beginning from the amazing stuff, who made our stay so special. Food was really good too. You can choose your breakfast menu, get a delicious lunch and dinner! The rooms are super big, comfy and nice and the common areas were designed nicely. The big Terrasse with the pool has an amazing view over the river, where you can already spot some animals while relaxing. But of course the game drives were the most special! We did them with Ranger Nick, who really made every drive special for us! he has so much knowledge about all the animals and wildlife which made it even more interesting, getting all these insights about the animals we saw. So blessed to made this experience with them! We were so sad to leave and hope to get there again!

United StatesI would prefer if it was clear what drinks were available at no extra cost. Very little appeared to be available that did not cost additional money. It would be far better just to include most drinks in the price so guests can just relax and not care about cost of extras.
River view suite was luxurious and with great views. Food was great with some exceptions—limited fruit offerings.
