There was a fair amount of rain, which led to very muddy roads in and around the facility, but fun as I had a 4x4.

Location is a little slice of heaven. All staff were on the ball, and no communications barrier was experienced. Breakfast and dinners were fantastic and on time. Fantastic place for families and relaxation.

wonderfull lodges in an outstanding landscape. Beautiful view of the mountains. A nice lake with fishing possibilities, Zebras and antilopes coming close to the lodge. friendly and helpfull staff. we had booked bbd and had tasteful meals brought up to our lodge.

Load Shedding was the only thing I can truly say .....but it is totally out of our control. It has its positive side though ....no TV and a candle lite dinner ... Awesome.

The breakfast was just out of this world, to sit there looking at the lake and mountains whilst having breakfast just makes the experience even better. The friendly staff was also a berth of fresh air, nothing was to mutch trouble for them. We travel often and love to do weekends away, this was by far the most beautiful place ever. We are so blessed to live in South Africa and to have places like this on our door step, we met people there from Germany, Netherlands, etc.. and it made me proud to tell them that we live in SA. We have done a 3 week overseas trip last year in August 2023 to Amsterdam, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and Venice.....and it was jaw dropping beautiful ....awesome to know that we have that same beauty if no even more beautiful right here in our country. Love it !!! Will 100% vist again.

The fireplace and provided wood looked as though no one had touched it in months (understandable as it has been Summer); however, finding cobwebs and spiders was not fun! - a little more attention when cleaning for guests arrival would be appreciated. The electric blanket on one side of the bed did not work on an especially cold night, but we made do.

The entire experience was amazing. A worthwhile place to visit if you need to get away from your busy life and be immersed in nature. The staff were attentive and friendly. The owner Gareth went out of his way to ensure we had a safe journey and that we had settled in. Overall a lovely experience with everything one could need.

Exceptional experience. Quiet, serene and picturesque setting. Vast open spaces and spectacular views. Surrounded by buck, zebra, birds and dragonflies. Comfortable accommodation. Delicious food. Compliments to Gareth and his team for a well run lodge. We would definitely visit again!

The food for dinner was fantastic, the oxtail is to die for. We used the private jaccuzi and the sun deck every day. The WIFI is a big plus, we used it for streaming.

Loved the place it was beautiful, peaceful... Enjoyed the walk and seeing wild animals like the zebra so close. It is a nice place to stay at if you looking for peace and tranquility and also if you are looking for an adventure

Very hot at night and the cabin wasn't well prepared for that: Noisy ceiling fan in the main bedroom - too loud to keep on while trying to sleep; but no windows to open in the bedroom (only sliding doors). No fan in the second bedroom. No top sheet - only a heavy duvet.

Spectacular setting, on a lake, with the majestic Drakensberg as our backdrop. Well-equipped & large accommodation. Met by the lovely Sabelo, who procured some wine for us.

unfortunately it had been raining very heavily for a few days prior to our arrival and the sand road was difficult to navigate but the resort assisted us way above and beyond to get to our chalet safely
