We were in Rooms 61 and 62 which was at the end of the property close to the maintenance area. This meant we heard a constant buzz from the pool pump and other mechanical noises. Don't book these 2 rooms! We now know better for our next visit!

Very charming old world hotel in a beautiful setting. We loved sipping cocktails in their very comfortable lounge. Breakfast was also a delight. We were happy with the choice of either the clubhouse or the restaurant for dinner. Both were well priced.

We had a few problems that could have been avoided by the facility. We didn’t have hot water and our wi-fi was not working when we arrived. Why wasn’t that noticed and resolved?

The buffet breakfast could be better. The choice was very limited and the same for the duration of the stay.

The location was superb, not far from the seafront. The surroundings were great, and natural. The room was very comfortable and spacious with the balcony an icing on the cake, plus a swimming pool just outside our room. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

The gardens need tending. Was very disappointed with the patio in the garden room. Needs an upgrade on the furniture and cleanliness. Such a beautiful estate , however maintenance is sadly lacking

I had a issue with the safe in the room,that was locked. It was only repaired the next day. As I had valuables with me that need to be locked away,this did not sit to well with me

The accommodation is a bit dated. The mattress slightly uncomfortable.

The staff are exceptionally friendly & cannot do enough for patrons. The estate is very tropical with an abundance of bird life, monkeys, ferrets, & the occasional buck. The food at the hotel restaurant & golf clubhouse was good.

Definitely need backup during loadshedding in the rooms. Not pleasant being in pitch dark and locating your room in the dark.

We were out of electricity for about 2 hours, due to loadshedding and the generator was not switched on.

The hotel staff was really friendly and professional. The garden view form ours rooms was spectacular.

The noisy Sunday morning woken by gardens being cleaned and cut. There isnt much to do on the premises, one must prepare for activities in surrounding areas.

The comfortable, peaceful, quiet environment. The friendly staff, the restaurant and the food was good, seafood basket is a must. Sightings of small buck was a surprise!

While loadshedding is a reality in SA the fact that the rooms have no "backup" light is not good. Guests are left to "find" their own way to rooms in the dark and then rooms are then in total darkness. The hotel needs to provide some alternate light to guests.

The kids entertainment area needs to be revamped and more activities provided e.g: board games, tv games. TV in the room did not have dstv or Netflix to enjoy a good movie.

The breakfast was yummy and there was a variety in the buffet.
