Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

South AfricaI would just suggest stabilizing the logs on the last part of the path going down to the beach a bit more They were a tad unstable and can be dangerous if not carefully maneuvered.
We loved absolutely everything about the house. Very well mantained,spotlessly clean, you have everything you need from quality pots to a gas stove in case of load shedding. Solar power was an amazing plus. We did not even know when load shedding kicked in. The house is a skip and a hop from the beach. Gordon is an amazing host. Everything was clearly communicated in advance, he was super helpful with directions and even helped us with ice when we ran out. Thank you for your kindness Gordon 🙏 We have been doing the annual cousins get away for 3 year and this year was super enjoyable. We will surely be back

South AfricaI would highly recommend Trafalgar for a family or friends get together. The house is spacious enough for everybody to have their privacy, enough bathrooms to accommodate all 15 of us. We had our little boston terrier with us and there was enough space for him to run around. The view is simply gorgeous and the kids/teenagers thoroughly enjoyed the pool. a lot of thought was put into making us feel comfortable and we had a private gate to the beach which is literally a 5 minute walk, the kids loved the adventure.

South AfricaNo dstv or netflix. There was no television. The lights in the house was very dim. It was quiet dark. Had to put on extra lights left by the owner. The heater ran out of gas. There was not enough blankets as the weather was cold.
It was a pleasant environment. It was good to take my dog. Bedrooms was enough for the amount of ppl,the kitchen was good,had enough cutlery.view was nice
