1. The Staff and Service - Soufiane was a pleasure to deal with. He was kind and extremely helpful with my family and I. We arrived later in the day and he put together a most excellent 3-course meal for my family on very short notice. It was a little cool in the riad and he promptly provided some warmer blankets for my children’s request. 10/10 for service. 10/10 - kindness, 10/10 for making my family feel welcome on our first trip to Morocco. 2. The Room - the room was above average standards. It had everything that is needed while on vacation. Shampoo and shower gel, towels, hair dryer, clean sheets and mattress, clean shower and toilet, toilet paper, comfortable pillows, television with a large selection of channels. 10/10 for the Room. 3. Noise level - our room was on the second floor and it was very quiet. As the Medina, souks, streets can be quite noisy..it was nice to escape all of that, to the serenity of our room. The riad was also very quiet. There were other families in the riad with small children but it was like we were there with only our family. As my wife and I are not party type people, it was nice to have some quiet time. 10/10 - for quiet and peaceful. 4. Location: situated within a 8-10min walk of souks, carriages and Medina. 10/10 for location.

It was 2 nights accommodation at first but I extended it for another 2 nights so I stayed in this riad for four nights in total. I booked twin bed but they offered me that I can stay in whatever room I want. The riad has an amazingly decorated terrace and it has an amazing view especially for sunrises that made me stay up early in the morning. The breakfast was excellent. Everybody and everything was so nice and good in every aspect. But most importantly Hassan the host made me feel like I’m visiting a friend, even a family member. He is very kind, helpful and trustworthy. I’ll always appreciate the yellow handmade present that he gave me. And of course I definitely will stay in this place if I ever visit Meknes again.

We were in the suite on the top floor. The main bedroom was fine. The adjoining room was without a/c so too uncomfortable for May. Fine for a couple. Breakfast was great. The whole Riad was charming and the service was great. I can definitely recommend this gem in Meknes. Great location behind the main square.

Really nice rooms with perfekt room service. Excellent breakfast. Each question was answered. They organised a cheap trip for us to a remote place. The whole place is a charm, beautifully renovated. I could sit in the public area or at a seperate area at my choice and liked each one. Chance to have supper for very reasonable prize. The whole thing was just perfect, thank you.

Note that there is a large amount of restoration work going on in Meknes as at May 2023 so many of the sites are either closed or behind hoardings and not visible.

The lady and her daughter are very nice hosts, who showed us how to navigate to the maze of the Medina and how to easily find back to the riad. In the evening she prepared a delishes meal for us and gave us a deep insight in real Maroccan life and rituals. Thanks for that great experience. We abslolutly recommend this riad for your stay in Menkès. We hope, that we will have the possibility to come back.
