the hotel is not a typical Best Western, situated in a historical building in the old town and retaining many original features including the 4 floor open central atrium. friendly helpful staff, large comfortable room and excellent fresh breakfast.
Small quaint town but near the main routes. Delicious breakfast in courtyard setting. Traditional stone house with large rooms and circular staircase. Good hot shower. Canopy drape above large wooden bedstead.
Great location in the lower old town with clear driving directions & the onsite parking in secure private garage for €10/day was really handy. The roof terrace has amazing views of fortress & rear garden courtyard is lovely too - both spots are perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine. Husband & wife owners spoke English & were very helpful with dinner restaurant suggestions close to hotel & up in the fortress town.
Central location, excellent and friendly hosts, lovely historical hotel with beautiful vine covered terrace and rooms with balconies. It's a traditional French hotel rather than super modern.
Lovely courtyard with plants, trees, fountain, balcony and owners cat. My son loved playing with the cat. Great host was very polite and easy contactable via WhatsApp. Massive bathroom. Within 2 mins of the cathedral (great view!) And loads of restaurants. Regarding the lack of A/C, we visited during very hot season, but because of the old thick walls of the building you don't need an A/C and fan is cooling enough!(don't worry)
Location of this hotel is superb right in the centre of the Carcassonne walled city. Yet the feeling was of quiet seclusion due to the beautiful garden courtyard. Also, it was very hot and he rooms were calling and cooling. Nice cotton bedding added to the cooling nature and feel of the room
Kyriad hotels are always great. Comfortable, reasonable priced and good food. This one is on the outskirts of Carcassone but a 15 min taxi ride will get you to the famous historical castles and battlements. Just make sure you book a return journey as finding a taxi is almost an impossibility. We stopped over on a road trip and the location is ideal for easy access to the road networks.
Everything, it is an exceptional place, hidden paradise. Looks like a time travel into the glorious and romantic France. The entire place combine historical architecture, bohemian garden and the charm of the south. The service was without any flaw, you feel like you are at home. I can mention that my wife forgot a piece of close when we left and they kindly send it to us by mail. I will make this trip an annual venue Thanks Victoria and the team ++
Irene and Roger could not have been more helpful with lots of local advice. The breakfast choices were delicious served in the wonderful courtyard. Our room was a beautiful combination of traditional and modern. A fantastic stay, we will be back! Andy & Julie
