The hotel is in 15 acres of grounds, with lawns up to the shores of Lake Ullswater.

The Inn On The Lake offers stylish en suite rooms with freeview TV, free WiFi and tea/coffee facilities. Some rooms have striking mountain and lake views.

Our lake view room was large, and very comfortable. Fabulous scenery, just sit and enjoy the entire vista. A big bathroom with both bath and shower, and a magnified mirror....(I love that for putting on the makeup!) The breakfast was absolutely delicious, 100% to the breakfast chef and staff, all the staff were friendly and courteous and welcoming. We had dinner in the restaurant, again it was really lovely, and the waiter was very helpful in recommending a wine to compliment our main course. Will definitely stay here on our next visit to the beautiful Lake District.

A beautiful lakeside hotel in a beautiful garden setting. Room was spacious and included all the necessities. Ordered dinner from the bar and saved the service fee. Breakfast was included with a good variety of choice.

Lovely Inn with super friendly staff. Cosy, clean room with a very comfortable bed. I also had a fabulous dinner (Steak and Kidney pudding) and throughly enjoyed my stay at the Kings Head Inn. Very much recommended!

The breakfast was the best full english I have ever had at a B&B; the bacon was crispy, all the food was hot, the egg was delicious. We had a lovely welcome, the staff were so nice, and we were shown around the whole B&B. We could put our wet jackets and shoes in the shower room and then we got some books from the library to have a read. The place was very clean and we fully relaxed the moment we got here.

Crookabeck was outstanding and ticked all our boxes. it’s a stunning property and after more than 3 weeks staying at B&B’s all over Great Britain, Crookabeck stood above all others for us despite staying at some stunning properties. We had the luxury of our own lovely little lounge that made us feel right at home. Adam and Julia were just awesome hosts. if you’re in the area, this is the place to stay.

A beautiful place, we were blessed with good weather and I felt like I was on holiday in a village in the South of France! Away from tourists but right by the lake and easy access of tourist destinations. We were able to do a lovely walk along the lake from the b&b. A very warm welcome. The room was perfect, bigger than I thought and all we could hear from the room was the birds. It even had a little outside seating area to relax in. Overall a perfect stay, which I would highly recommend.
