The hotel has an Art Deco design and is set in an elegant Edwardian house with some period features. All bedrooms feature en-suite bathrooms complimented with luxury Noble Island toiletries. Most rooms also offer stunning views of the river Rothay or the scenic fells. Everything! it was so comfortable. The room was one of the nicest we stayed in during our vacation. the village was right there and charming. Breakfast was amazing. The staff was friendly & professional. Highly recommended

The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning.

Each stylish room has fresh light décor. The breakfast was delicious, a good variety of options. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is nicely decorated and our room was very pleasant and comfortable. I absolutely recommend a stay here.

Bowness-On-Windermere's quaint shops and restaurants are just a short walk from The Westbourne. Free parking is available. Lovely warm welcome, beautiful room, spotlessly clean. The only place we have stayed which was better in reality than the advertising photos. Attention to detail was excellent, down to the herbal tea selection in the room.

Our hotel is perfectly situated with views of Lake Windermere, just a short stroll from the bustling village centre of Bowness-on-Windermere and the boats that travel the length of Windermere, making it easy to visit Ambleside, Brockhole, Wray Castle and Lakeside without a car. We had our own private hot tub. It was wonderful. Location was very good. They have a spa at which we had a couples massage.

There is also a guest lounge with a log fire and lake views. Such a lovely experience at dinner and breakfast. The staff make you feel very welcome and are so helpful and polite. The food is also exceptional and we had a lovely dinner.
