The room was spacious but still felt cozy and comfortable. The view from the large window was simply spectacular, there was a light rain storm the night we came and honestly it added to the experience, so relaxing….the staff was so friendly, some spoke very clear English but for the ones that didn’t had a little translation devise. I’m also a Celiac and can’t eat wheat, I gave the staff a head up and they accommodated my meals beautifully! I was able to enjoy the dinner and breakfast with my family without feeling like I was missing something.

The onsen was really nice and big, especially the outdoor bath with all the bamboo trees surrounding it. There weren’t many guests at the ryokan so I was able to enjoy the whole onsen by myself. The room was also very spacious and had a nice space for chilling with friends.

We wanted the traditional ryokan, onsen experience and this certainly met our expectations. It is a decent half hour drive from Himeji but the ryokan offered a complementary shuttle service. Dinner and breakfast were good and they even did our breakfast early as we had to leave early.
