Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. Guests can find a private hot spring bath and Japanese restaurant on site.

At the ryokan, all rooms include a flat-screen TV, fridge and wardrobe. Certain rooms feature in-room hot spring bath, while some rooms offer a kitchen with a microwave.

Extremely clean and comfortable, I had a room with private oven semi open to the outside, which was awesome. Very nice room well equipped. Staff members are nice, very professional and speak English, same for the owner. I highly recommend to have dinner there, it was delicious. Location is great, around 5 minutes from the main attractions of kusatsu. I would definitely stay there again.

This 3-star ryokan offers luggage storage space and a housekeeping service. The accommodation provides private check-in and check-out and a shared lounge for guests.

This ryokan was the highlight of our trip to Japan. Excellent seasonal and varied breakfast options, with an attention to detail unparalleled in my travel experience. The soaking pools met our hopes and needs perfectly, and we preferred the private rooms to any of the town’s public onsens. Our room was very comfortable and quiet, and the location was great—away from the hustle and bustle of the main square. Staff were incredible—helpful, welcoming, and friendly despite our limited Japanese language skills! Would highly recommend for a quiet, peaceful stay.

Rooms are decorated with a tatami (woven-straw) floor, shoji sliding paper screens and a low table with seating cushions. They have a seating area with a coffee table and chairs, traditional futon bedding and an attached toilet. Amenities include an LCD TV, a fridge and toiletries.

While it is locate on a small slope, it is a short walking distance from many attractions like Sainokawara Park and streets of restaurants. It may be a distance from the bus station but they have a free shuttle bus coming to get us which is very great! I like that! Great welcoming staffs, Japanese styled room is beautiful and good selection on onsen experience. I enjoyed my stay very much and would love to come back.

Really lovely place, rooms have plenty of space, neutral decor, great use of the square meters and giant windows to enjoy nature at your doorstep. Hotel facilities are easy to access, clean and have all amenities you might need. Staff is extremely helpful and their English level is great, which makes a big difference when asking for recommendations or suggestions or quite simply have a conversation upon arrival. Also made use of the massage service in the room, very professional and great massage overall. The system is set up easily so you can enjoy this in your privacy and comfort.

Hanaingen is an adult only accommodation situated in Kusatsu, just a 2-minute walk from Yubatake, or the hot water field in Kusatsu Onsen. Free private parking is available on site and free WiFi is available in all guest rooms.

Amazing location within Kusatsu Onsen, a few minute walk from the bus terminal, then a few minute walk from Yubatake. Friendly staff. Welcome snack was amazing. Breakfast is included in price, and is hearty. They have free drinks that are refreshing (and not just coffee or tea). Four private onsen rooms are so good. Enjoy as a couple or solo in these rooms. Perfect for those who are inked. I stayed at the corner room with windows on both sides of wall. Two beds. Amazing room with colourful walls. Overall quiet stay even though my room faces the intersection.

My room was large and comfortable. I slept extremely well on the futon and had delicious breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The hotel is located near the Sainogawara park towards one end of the town so it is very convenient to visit the park and public onsen there. This hotel charmed us with its ambiance from the moment we stepped inside. The proximity to the famous Yubatake and local onsens made it an ideal retreat. The hotel’s private onsen, while modest in size, has a lovely, intimate vibe. I got to enjoy it by myself which was a great experience. The level of service was amazing, with staff showcasing exceptional friendliness. The yukatas in our room were a thoughtful gesture that deeply enriched our cultural experience, making our trip feel even more special. I would stay here again!

It was a beautiful stay and our first experience at a ryokan. We were made to feel very special from the moment we arrived, until the time we checked out. The meals were lovely. Lots of interesting things to try for both dinner and breakfast and dressed in the provided yukatas. We loooooved our private onsen in our room and also tried two of the three private onsens on site which can be used by any guest pending availability. Beautiful views! The town is also lovely but be prepared for the sulfur smell from the hot springs!

Western style room was great! The tatami room had ample room for several futons, in addition to a couple beds outside the tatami room. Open concept with sliding doors was great for our group (6 people) so we can chat and hangout freely, and slide the doors shut at night for privacy. Breakfast was good. The outdoor onsen was really nice.

The Onsen was gorgeous, clean and well organised with an efficient and easy to understand system. The staff was exceptionally friendly, welcoming and helpful, and spoke English very very well. The rooms were beautiful and super warm (even while there in the snow you did not have to worry about rugging up). I loved the classic wooden ryokan set-up and tatami floors with futons. Futons were also made for you each night while you were out, and packed up for you after you left in the morning.

Kusatsu is a beautiful town, built around a hot spring. The hotel (ryokan) was located 2 blocks from the central area - well within easy walking distance. It was a perfect town and hotel for a 24-hour visit. Lots of stores and artisanal food in town. At the hotel, we enjoyed the public onsen as well as an hour in a private room. The kaiseki (multi-course) dinner was excellent as was the breakfast.

Liked the tatami style of the place! Looks newly refurbished and very clean. Facilities are complete but bear in mind there is no shower/bath facilities. We went for the Ohtaki No Yu Onsen and showered there, so this was not an isssue. Toilets are shared but this is not an issue too as there weren't many ppl staying at the ryokan. Parking is walkable, only 50metres away. Very value for money!!
