Amazing stay in this wonderful Ryokan. The staff was so nice and welcoming! When we arrived by car, one of the staff was already waiting for us to take us the luggages and everybody was so smiley and nice. The futons are very comfortable and the Onsen at the last floor overlooking the lake and the mount Fuji is simple yet beautiful. The japanese breakfast was also amazing. Had to check in early which wasn't a problem. The two staff were great - they speak English quite well, and were very patient with our very poor Japanese. Dinner + Breakfast is really good (but you do need to let them know you would like to have dinner when you are making your booking).

The host was incredibly sweet and accommodating, with lots of knowledge of the local area, including the best spots to take photos of Fuji. He gave us complimentary tea/coffee and snacks in our room, and kindly offered to drive us to the station after we checked out. Traditional atmospheric ryokan (room had a cozy kotatsu).

Location was excellent- easy to walk to nearby attractions/food and on a quiet side street away from traffic. The house seemed very traditional but had modern upgrades like heated floors and a lovely shower/soaking tub. Check in was easy, tea and coffee were provided which was nice. We enjoyed the tatami floors and futons, but there are also 2 western beds as well. The house was very spacious for our group of 5.
Cosy little Ryokan with a very friendly and helpful owner. Conveniently located to everything plus it comes with an onsen.
Loved our cosy futon/tatami experience. Location was within easy walking distance to all the attractions and good eateries. Free tea and coffee. Offered luggage storage which was helpful. Lovely staff
I highly recommend this ryokan. Dinner and breakfast was amazing. Onsen experience with family was great. We arrived by car and Akira managed to provide a parking spot for us. The rooms were spacious and futons were comfortable for us. Heating system works great during our mid winter stay. Toiletries and yukatas were provided. While we were about to leave, he is assisting some guests to be dropped off at Snow Monkey Park which I think is great if you have no car.
Excellent place to stay and relax. Each of the rooms have an outdoor onsen bath, and an indoor wet room with a bathtub and shower. The futons are placed on tatami mats. You are provided pajamas to sleep and Yukata to walk around the Ryokan and the area if you want to. The dinner and breakfast are Kaiseki style.
Beautiful little traditional Ryokan, we felt right at home. The tatami room with futon bed was very comfortable and super clean. Japanese breakfast in the morning was good. Great location, walking distance from the market, and all major attractions. The host was super friendly as well.
Very traditional tatami rooms with Futon beds. The room was large and had a small table for you to sit in. The bathroom had a his and hers sinks, with the attached bathroom being quite compact. Best not was the outside open air bath which was super relaxing as you had excellent views during both day and night. The public bath was large clean, and the onsen outdoor bath was comfortable and relaxing. Staff were super accommodating and helpful There is a large car park so you didn’t have to worry about not being able to find a space
Great value for money in the area, gorgeous spot overlooking the river in a historical Ryokan. Lovely living areas. We wanted to try the private onsen but it was occupied for most of the night. Tatami mats are cosy and air conditioning is in the room.
Beautiful Japanese Inn! The room was spacious, and the futon was comfy enough to asleep. Free drinks available downstairs and for the breakfast. Onsen was small but well maintained. This Ryokan is old but the shower room and toilet were all renovated and super clean. Staffs are very kind!
