There was a private onsen in my room and I enjoyed it ALOT.

Sanjiro Ryokan is a 5-minute drive from Zao Blueberry Farm and Zao Kokeshi Doll Hall. Eboshi Ski Resort is a 15-minute drive away. The staff was exceptionally nice and welcoming. They were prepared to deal with guests of the world via technology and an open-minded attitude. The food was a delicious collection of the local ocean's best and the service excellent and friendly. We had an amazing time there, especially for a first stop on our Japan journey. Thank you! :D

Featuring 2-star accommodation, Tabist Business Ryokan Duck Ishinomaki Hebita is situated in Ishinomaki, 37 km from Shiogama Shrine and 49 km from Sendai City Community Support Center. The property is around 26 km from Entsuin Temple, 46 km from Sendai Toshogu and 47 km from Rakuten Seimei Park Miyagi. The ryokan features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. This local ryokan has real character, decorated from walls to ceiling with colourful posters and various toys of Japan, from classic to manga. The manager couple are just as nice. She had written out a welcome with basic information in Spanish for me, as my reservation shows it as country of origin. The room is comfortable, complete with towel and pyjamas, plus a water kettle and cup with teabags. If you're on foot, it's 27 min to Ishinomaki station and 18 min to Haneda station- the latter gets you the Matsushima-Kaigan.

Matsushima Koumura provides a hot tub and free private parking, and is within 10 km of Shiogama Shrine and 24 km of Sendai City Community Support Center. There is a private entrance at the ryokan for the convenience of those who stay. The ryokan features family rooms. Beautiful, traditional ryokan not far from Matsushima Station. You can get to the main attractions in Matsushima on foot in about 20-30 minutes comfortably. The room was comfortable and clean, the staff very friendly and accommodating. Great experience!
