Female & Male public bath did interchange each other for evening and morning session, so we can enjoy both facilities. They even have massage chairs in the public bath area for free. Sadly if there is chance to purchase milk/ yogurt after onsen, it will be perfect!
The breakfast and dinner are nice too. Breakfast is semi-buffet with quite a lot of salad & drink provided. When we mentioned one of us has certain food allergy, the manager checked in details to ensure everything is alright.

Nice retro design with a nice feel of modernistic aschitecture meeting traditional japaneese design from the 70s. Large room (japaneese style) with sliding shades and comfy tatami mats. The outdoor onsen was very serene.
Woodland location inside a park with a view of a stream. Great experience of the tatami-room and futons. Izumi-san was a fantastic host with a kind nature, a good chef for breakfast, and taking the time to explain things and make reservations for us
Our traditional tatami-matted Japanese room was beautifully designed with the most comfortable futon beds of our entire trip, and a foot-warming table with a lovely view over a babbling brook into woods with deer wandering through. Izumi made us delicious breakfasts too - traditional Japanese as well as western-style.
It was beautifully set and a lovely traditional guest house, tatamis mats in a futon. We slept good extremely well both nights we were there. And in all my years of travel I have never had a place as well equipped, it had everything including a heated rug to warm up your feet!
The room is a Tatami style Japanese room, it is quite spacious and clean, the in-house bath is very nice and clean, there is plenty of selection of hair shampoo and cleaning supplements provided and in very good quality, so is the public onsen spa. We had both our dinner and breakfast included in form of buffer, the dinner is a particularly grand feast with unlimited crab legs, beef and oyster rice bot provided, there is also free shuttle bus that the reception can arrange.
Nice Ryokan with two private indoor Onsen that can be freely used when available, good place to explore Nikko and surroundings, but be careful to bus schedules
Beautiful onsen, very welcoming staff, good location, very confortable (sleeping on tatami and futon), wide room, storage space.
Fantastic traditional Japanese inn (ryokan). The on-site onsen had two options, indoor and outdoor. The friendliness of the staff made us feel very welcome and the meals served were traditional and delicious.
We loved this place! Large tatami room with futon beds (note that you will have to make your bed which is common in Japan). The common areas are wonderful with many places to seat and relax, or work (desks and tables). The shared kitchen was large and super clean with everything you need to cook. The onsite Onsen was fantastic! One indoor Onsen and one outside, which was amazing! Staff was nice and friendly.
