Very polite staff. Room cleaning every day. Clean towels. Excellent and tasty breakfast. Good food in the restaurant and especially pasta with truffles. Amazing location - very close to Black Lake. Wonderful view from the suite on the 3rd floor. Having your own kitchen. Excellent sauna, which is included in the price. A good massage.
I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel and speaking as a simple tourist, I would have been satisfied.

The cozy town is surrounded by stunning nature.
Not a lot of people, but two supermarkets are located with walking accessibility.
Winter views like alpine.
And of course, amazing coniferous forests.
Be careful - it is easy to fall in love with this place.

The town is just a starting point for all sort of adventures, there's nothing to say about it - just hotels and restaurants, but the Black Lake is within a walking distance, and lots of other beautiful places are around.

Žabljak is the perfect place for hiking lovers.
Žabljak is the perfect place for hiking lovers.
There are plenty of options around for all kinds of levels. Be advised that crossing the national park from Sedlo to Žabljak over Bobotov Kuk is harder than what it seems on paper! That was my first hike there and I completed it but was really tired afterwards and did finish in the dark. The face of Bobotov Kuk that is in the direction of Žabljak is made of loosse rock and is quite steep. Bear that in mind.
Card acceptance is half and half, so bring enough cash just in case.
3 hiking routes recommendations:
1) Bobotov Kuk (choose based on your level and experience, and START EARLY!)
2) Chill stroll around the lakes (Black, Green and Brown) to let the legs rest
3) Planinica hike, beautiful views according to reviews (I had to turn back halfway due to rain, again, START EARLY).

The environment in Zabljak is overwelming.
The environment in Zabljak is overwelming. The mountains are stunning and beautiful. It’s great to walk/hike (bring sturdy shoes), but we also liked the rafting on Tara river very much. Expect no big rapids in summer, but it was a tremendous beautiful trip through the canyon. We loved it!

Zabliak is beautifully situated right next to the Durmitor...
Zabliak is beautifully situated right next to the Durmitor National Park which is the main attraction - and to be honest - the only attraction. The place is not particularly beautiful and the many construction sites do not give reason to expect that it will soon become more beautiful. There are some restaurants that have adapted to the tourists, i.e. moderate service and comparatively high prices. The place markets itself as a hiker's paradise, but offers only comparatively few hiking trails. A big annoyance are the quads that drive around everywhere, even in the national park and can negatively affect the hiking holiday in the long term.
The Durmitor National Park is very beautiful and the drive on the Durmitor Ring scenic road is highly recommended.
The place is just wonderful, it seems like it came out of a painting. The rooms was super comfortable, great bed. Very cozy environment really. My boyfriend and I we like lively and busy places and be there was so calming and peaceful, so it is indeed a great experience. The breakfast that is included, you need to inform the waiter as there is a menu to choose your breakfast upon order, there isn't a self-service system. The food there is delicious and great prices. It is 20 minutes far from Zabljak and super doable!
The accommodation is located on the countryside and it has chickens and goats around. The surroundings are truly beautiful. It's about 10 minutes drive to Žabljak, where you can find shops and restaurants. The apartment has everything you need.
The English speaking son was not home but his parents are lovely people and it's no problem to communicate. A small problem with my rental car was quickly solved and even some Turkish coffee was offered.
If I will go back to Durmitor I would definitely check in again!
The location of the house is perfect, it's located in a quiet place and the view of the forest is so beautiful. But the best thing about this house is its owner Milka! We felt like we were staying at our aunt's place. :-) Milka answered our questions, gave good recommendations, and even helped us learn a lot of Serbian words, which we really appreciated! I hope to come to Žabljak and stay in this nice house again. Milka, thank you so much for your hospitality and kindness!
Amazing cabin in the mountains near Zabljak. Excellent location to explore Durmitor National Park. Vila Zabljak is a very comfortable and cosy home away from home and offers everything you need - and if you can think of something that's not there, the owner will happily arrange it for you! Fresh eggs from the neighbouring farm? Done! Climbing equipment? Done! Suggestions for the best scenic route through Durmitor? Done!
We would come back here anytime!
Very nice place in the countryside close to the little town of Zabljak and to the Durmitor national park.
Aleksandra she is a super host! Pleasant and kind woman who runs the Family farm, she is always ready to help their guests and feed them with local products. We loved her homemade bread and jam.
Thank you for everything family. We had a few unforgettable days at your cottage. Hope to see you soon!
Everything was of top standard, the house was lovely, clean and well maintained. It is in center of Zabljak, garden is beautiful and you can enjoy in silence. Jelena was exceptional host and made our stay memorable, including best and afordable food we ever ate in Crna Gora, also she made us pancakes and brought homemade juice. Room was really nice and cozy and bed is really comfy.
it was an amazing place! the rooms were super nice and the view from the windows were exactly and even better than the ones in the photos. the place was spotlessly clean, the owner was super nice! we went there in winter and the snow around the place was really breathtaking.
the place is in a village nearby Zabljak and only 25minutes or so away from Durmitor park.
It's an exceptional apartment with wonderful views of the Durmitor mountains from the balcony and very well equipped. We had an amazing time, especially thanks to the very warm hospitality of the owners and their kids, who made us feel right at home. The apartment has private parking, with Zabljak and Durmitor National Park just a short drive away.
Excellent apartment with breathtaking view of Durmitor Mountain &Zabljak town.
Everything was great.Great location. Off the centre but not so far from it, around 10 minutes walk from the center.Host was very kind. They gave us excellent traditional homemade donuts & jam! Yammy!Highly recommended if you like to stay quiet and peaceful place.
The hosts were amazing, really helpfully and nice people. It's a perfect starting point for hiking. Since it's in the center of Žabljak, all the restaurants and supermarkets are on a walking distance. Even though it's in the center, in the night it's really quiet, you can't hear anything. I would definitely recommend this place.
Amazingly beautiful, tranquil farm stay. The host family, who were incredibly friendly and welcoming has lived in the area their whole lives and gave a lot of fantastic recommendations for hikes in Durmitor National Park and restaurants in Zabljak. We will definitely come back when we come back to Montenegro.
So nice clean and cozy ☺ Perfect location and amazing view 🙌 If you ever want to enjoy Žabljak mountain, Villa Elena is the place to be! Nikola and his brother are really friendly hosts. Apt is equipped with all amenities you will ever need and even more, coffee, tea, brandy, liquor you name it!
10/10 🙌
A greate place with a wonderful hosts! You can see that they put a lot of heart in making the atmospheare as cosy as possible. We only regret that we'd stayed there only one night. I shall definitely recomend the place to everybody who like to visit Zabljak and beautiful Durmitor mountains :)
Best breakfast among the family owned places we've stayed in Montenegro, this place has everything you need and great value for money.
Nice uphill location provides scenery of Dormitur mountains, Zabljak main street is just a 10 min walk or 3 min drive.
Everything :) Surrounding, peace, quiet spot, beatiful nature...so cozy, perfect to relax! Zabljak is very close in case you need groceries or want to grab something to eat.
Sandra is very kind and helpful!
Zabljak is a good base to explore the Durmitor national park. The black lake and The Durmitor circuit is a must do. Woodland is a cosy place with nice wooden chalets and a welcoming host!
Owners were super friendly and the restaurant onsite had amazing food. Great location just outside of Zabljak and easy to get around everywhere in the area by car!
Nice place on the main road just outside of Zabljak. The owner is an encyclopedia about Durmitor, he will tell you everything you need to know and to visit 😊
Very spacious and comfortable apartment. All the amenities, good heating and bed. Highly recommendable as place to stay when exploring Zabljak and Durmitor.
