The Manda was located within a short walking distance to all that Zagreb has to offer. Really nice little touches at the hotel including a help-yourself tea/coffee service. The breakfast choices were excellent and a good start to the day, too. Friendly, welcoming, and attentive staff, and a most recommended place to stay. Bit of a cliché but it was an oasis of calm and comfort after a busy day exploring a vibrant and interesting city steeped in history. 10/10

the hotel is very nicely positioned and has comfortable rooms that are above average, what is very bad is that the level of privacy is at a very low level for such a hotel.

The downtown was not as tidy as I would expect it to be—a lot of run-down houses. Croats are smoking everywhere outdoors and also indoors, I had a terrible time In public places where everyone had a smoke while I was just trying to have a meal or drink.

We all felt very safe in Zagreb, everybody was so kind.
We all felt very safe in Zagreb, everybody was so kind. Food was amazing. The trams were great and easy to hop on and off.
We visited the Lotrscak Tower one lunchtime and my god…..would recommend, it was brilliant. The museum of Broken Relationships was so interesting and so much to take away from this.
Our taxi driver back to the airport told us of the difficulties and sadness after the earthquake, the city is rising again and we loved it.

The city center is in good condition.
The city center is in good condition. But, if you decide to go outside of city center borders you will se a lot of garbage everywhere... apparently, as I was informed, it is due to the new mayer's orders on how to dispose trash and, obviously, it is not working... Hopefully they will solve this issue soon. Otherwise, I love Zagreb. I frequently visit Croatia, I always land in Zagreb and would recommend it to anyone looking for a city escape.

Zagreb is a vibrant blend of history, culture, and modernity...
Zagreb is a vibrant blend of history, culture, and modernity. Nestled between the southern slopes of the Medvednica mountain and the banks of the Sava River, Zagreb offers a picturesque setting. Its historic Upper Town (Gornji Grad) is characterized by cobblestone streets, medieval architecture, and landmarks such as St. Mark's Church and the Lotrščak Tower. The Lower Town (Donji Grad) contrasts with a more modern atmosphere, featuring elegant 19th-century buildings, lively squares like Ban Jelačić Square, and cultural institutions like the Croatian National Theatre. Zagreb is known for its green spaces, with parks and gardens providing peaceful retreats amidst the urban bustle. The city also boasts a rich cultural scene, with museums, galleries, theaters, and a thriving café culture. Throughout the year, Zagreb hosts various festivals, events, and markets, showcasing its dynamic spirit and welcoming atmosphere.

Initially finding our way to the Dolac market (it was towards the end of the day so fruit and vegetables were cheaper) was via a bus and then a tram (best to travel with local currency in coins as public transport is very cheap), however as we explored the public transport network via the tram route it was a faster way to travel into and out of the city from where we stayed at m-blok. Catching a bus and tram back to the city to hire a car was seamless on our last day. Getting to and from places is very easy once you know where you're going so a car is unnecessary in Zagreb. You can buy bus/tram tickets at Tsik kiosks located close to public transport or on the bus/tram. Note that most coffee cafe's only sell coffee and not food. We enjoyed food from Pekara Dubravica 'home of the finest snacks'. They have a great chicken salad, three different types of burek and more. We ate at II Secondo (reasonable price and big serves), Burger Bar and Burger and Beer Bar Mrav (cheaper eats and big serves).

If you wanna be welcome ,don't come.
If you wanna be welcome ,don't come. I am saying this as a homegrown Zagrebian. I always feel unwelcomed, and I was born here :)
If you're passing through, by all means.
Foreigners generally like Zagreb, but if you're up for a good time, fun, music, company, just don't come. It's not worth the trip and it's not worth your money. Remember this capital is not treating it's own people well.
Go somewhere where the citizens are respected and foreigners are warmly welcome. Y'all have great stayings and safe journeys!
The hotel has an excellent location, it is located very close to the city center of Zagreb. Our room was nice and clean, water kettle for making coffee and tea was a nice bonus. The breakfast was good, we liked the variety of food, it was all in all a nice and pleasant experience. The receptionist was kind and helpful and showed us a great restaurant, where we had fantastic cevap for dinner. Should I visit Zagreb again, I will definitely come back.
Hotel 9 is just across the street from the bus station and, the city centre is almost around the corner as well. Regarding cleanliness and the hotel staff (particularly the girl on the afternoon shift), I really can't complain, it was a really clean room with a balcony and above all, a very comfortable bed and a super kind receptionist and dedicated to her work. Another thing that is very convenient for us is that it has a luggage storage.
Their breakfast was fantastic. It was a huge spread wit so much variety of options including Mediterranean specialties. The coffee was very good as well! We also had two dinners there and both meals were very good. This hotel is not downtown but we liked not being in the crowds. It’s an easy Uber to city center. It is very close to the airport which was important. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Great location. Basement room was spacious, clean and well equipped. I chose the hotel because it's just opposite the main bus terminal. I had to catch the airport bus very early the next morning. The lady at the check in desk was friendly. By taking several of the tram lines which stop there you can get very fast to the main train station or the main public square.
The hotel is a bit old fashioned but in "good meaning". I really like the atmosphere - you don't really feel it is a big facility.
Location is perfect close to the city center, you can have a nice walk to visit all attractions or just have dinner in the city.
I really like wellness area- swimming pool.
The room was perfect; we had the junior suite that comes with large space and a luxury setting. The hotel is located not to far from the city center and is breathing the grandeur of the past. The hotel staff was exact what you would expect from a hotel with this class. Very friendly and helpful.
The property was very clean and the restaurant was very convenient with good prices. The staff was also very kind and helpful. The rooms were beautiful; lovely shower and comfortable. Loved the view from the hotel room. The location was perfect; not too close and not too far from city center.
the hotel is very close to the city center, nice and very clean, not far from the Chabad Jewish center which was awesome, Katarina and Demian were so helpful with information about the National parks city’s and Taxis, one of the best service I’ve experienced in any hotel!!
Small boutique hotel with friendly staff.
A decent and tasty breakfast.
Situated on a very good location close to all the city center attractions!
Underground parking garage 2 blocks away (free street parking on Saturday after 15 Hr and on Sundays, see picture).
Great hotel in the very City Center of Zagreb.
Really kind staff. I got everything I asked about.
Offers great comfort.
The restaurant in good and also the SPA.
The parking is safe and much cheaper than parking 24 hours in the street outside.
We had some technical problem in our room we booked. Had contacted the reception, and the problem was solved in only 5 min. We got the best room in the hotel with the view. Superb staff, atmosphere and ambient. Would come again definitely!
-We got a good price for a 5 star hotel
-The room was large
-The beds were comfortable
-Free water topped up daily
-Bathrobes and slippers were provided by default - for access to pool/sauna
-Within walking distance of city centre
New part of hotel, clean and everything what you need for short stay. Helpfull personnel. Parking in front of hotel. 2 bus stops or 18 minutes walk from Zagrzeb city center. Very good for short stay when you travel through Croatia.
Definitely a place to visit again! Located in the city centre, yet no traffic noise. Staff extremely friendly, Lucia especially. The double bad was perfectly comfortable...all in one: one of the best hotels I visited in Zagreb.
The location is very convenient for me who relies on bus from Zagreb Airport and onward journey to other cities. It is convenient to travel to other parts of Zagreb as the tram stops are just outside the hotel.
Exceptional little hotel, helpful staff, bountiful breakfast, super clean and comfortable room. The best value stay I have experienced in Europe. Wish I could have stayed for more than a night.
