It is a very nice hotel, centrally located, with as uperb view over most of the Abruzzo region. Although the hotel does not have the most modern furniture, the rooms are very convenient and clean. If you manage to get a room to the North, the location is very quiet, too. While some other guest complained about the breakfast, we had a delicious Italien (= 'sweet') breakfast in the hotel's cafeteria, served by a very obliging waiter. If one expects to get a full English breakfast, Italy is perhaps the wrong location to go.

Stunning agriturismo with fabulous location, good accommodation, laid-back atmosphere and lots of nooks and shady corners to lounge about in - and of course a tremendous view. We had a well-equipped cabin full of old-fashioned charm, complete with fridge, mini-kitchen - and underfloor heating. The evening meal (set time, set menu) was excellent.

Chieti is split into 2 towns - the "bottom" town where the...
Chieti is split into 2 towns - the "bottom" town where the train comes in. There is nothing to see here other than a main, noisy street with take-away pizza restaurants - hardly anything was open and it felt like a ghost town. Then there is "Chieti Historic Centre" up a very steep hill about 4kms away (good luck with the bus timetable - a lottery!). Cute little place where all but one restaurant was closed and most of the shops were closed. Nice (small) church in a lovely square, which was deserted and only had one bar/cafe. Main street runs from one end to the other - deserted during the daytime and barely alive at night! We found a nice park with a lovely restaurant (which was closed on Mondays). Honestly - there is NOTHING to see or do in Chieti unless you want to sit in the same bar all day (only bars and cafes or DREADFUL pizzerias were open), eating ice cream or drinking coffee. Chieti is a lovely, peaceful town high above the valley.
Chieti is a lovely, peaceful town high above the valley. Perfect for a stopover for a couple of days. We discovered some excellent restaurants, serving both meat and pasta options. The town has a large park for walking and relaxing in and a museum.MareaAustralia - 10Scored 10

Chieti (and Abruzzo as a whole) feel like undiscovered gems in Italy. The old town is large and interesting, the main Piazza del Duomo is being worked on and will look amazing when done, the food is absolutely to die for and half the price relative to standard Northern Italian tourist areas. It was a stopover for us on a drive to Puglia, but we are already thinking about when we can return.ChristopherItaly - 10Scored 10

The old town has a fabulous museum with artifacts dating back from Palaeolithic era… well set out museum! Had delicious lunch of mixed salad in local bar with gelato chaser.. perfect! Visited the duomo which was beautiful inside.

Chieti is a wonderful, historical, quiet city, with stunning views across the countryside and towards the two main mountain ranges in the region.. Great streets, with superb cafes and restaurants, and a wonderful park. Full of history, around every corner. The people are open and friendly, and very talkative ! We booked taxi service through the hotel which was most welcome as the taxi driver greeted us at the airport and the hotel was convenient as not too far from the airport. The room had everything, clean and could not find any fault with it. The breakfast was outstanding and with a choice and selection that no matter what your food taste or allergen catered for you. A hotel that really cares about your well being.
