The view. However without a car the location was not good.

The dinner was very nice and the staff friendly. Good, cheap shuttle service to the cruise port.
Beautiful and quiet town. Everything within walking distance. Favorite place for quick bite was Mastro Titta Pizza within two blocks of Airbnb.
I would recommend staying longer as there is much to do it Civitavecchia. We missed walking along the Harbor, visiting Fort Michaelangelo, and the beaches.
We read about direct Shuttles to the Airport, none were available the day we left because no cruise ships were arriving in Port. Car Service was expensive. We ended up taking the Train, which was not as convenient but not bad at all and at a fraction of the cost!

Of note: there was No Kleenex, NO WiFi password, no shampoo or soap for shower and NOI place in the shower to put such except on the floor, NOT enough signage to locate the building, room, door. NO USB ports, there was an ice bucket, but NO ice, NO towel racks or shelves in the bathroom, NO air conditioning.

The hotel is an outstanding location for pre-cruise travellers as the location is just a few steps away from Largo della Pace where cruisers pick up the free shuttle to the cruise terminal. Just roll your luggages along the sidewalk then across the street onto the ramp towards area where the shuttle awaits.

Small city. Older buildings and infrastructure.
Small city. Older buildings and infrastructure. Uneven paved sidewalks, some graffiti but seemed very safe. Just an older Italian town that’s packed fairly tight. Lots of dining options, but hours are different from what Americans are used to.

We did not stay long enough to get to know it well enough...
We did not stay long enough to get to know it well enough but what I saw was great. I would advise anyone travelling to a hotel in town and coming off the Barcelona ferry not to use the Sat Nav until well into the centre. It is likely to take you through the port to a controlled gate which you will not be allowed to pass and you will be sent back. Just follow signs to the centre then switch on Sat Nav when well clear of the port.
Great staff with a great location for the cruiser. (just a few steps to catch a shuttle to the cruise port around the corner).
Easy walk to many sights seen locations, fresh markets, bars and authentic restaurants. Highly recommend the Pizza next door with pizza made to order right in front of your eyes.
Hotel staff provided many unforgettable personal touches, Joseph(Josepe), Michele (Michael), the lady makes cafe latte just to name a few.
We would definitely stay with them, if we are back to Civitavecchia again in the future.
The location was very central and easy to access shopping, restaurants, beach. The breakfast was excellent offering all sort of choices and the room was quiet, very comfortable beds and bigger than expected for a European room. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I recommend their shuttle service, it was a very pleasant ride from Rome airport to the hotel. Driver very pleasant and helpful.
The rooms are spacious and clean. Our rooms were on the first floor, so we easily got around. The lady in the front is very friendly, when we checked out she gave us an Italy magnet.
The suite has a sauna and the shower is next to the bed. You have to be careful when taking a shower. There is also snacks, fridge, tea kettle, and the suite had a bottle of wine.
The MD house was excellent. It's in a great location the people are friendly. The market is across the street with fresh foods, and one of the best restaurants in Civitavecchia, Sara Maria, is across the street. An amazing little house with great people. Diego and his wife are the best at cleaning up and making sure that you are comfortable.
This room was a simple but clean room to stay in after long flights to Italy. We only needed a place to stay overnight before joining a cruise ship so did not need any fancy frills. Breakfast was included and consisted of excellent coffee and a pastry next door. The manager was very nice and helped bring up our luggage as there is no lift.
Very nicely renovated appartment in a very central location, few meters away from major nightlife area. Pam supermarket nearby, and many wonderful beaches just 10-15kms away by car. We stayed in Rome in 4* and 5* hotels, but loved our stay Civitavecchia more :-) And big thank you to Paolo, who was super helpful!
Staff were wonderful and rooms are large with old style charm , location is excellent and Civitavecchia has improved so much in 10 years its a lovely place to spend a few days, lovely shops and restaurants and promenade , lovely breakfast, staff have good english and very helpful!
Perfect, modern, clean, three bedrooms and two baths, very spacious, great location, lots of restaurants. Host was fantastic and very helpful in every respect. Parking was a challenge, but then that is Italy, host assisted with finding a spot with-in 200 meters of property.
The room with bath was new, clean and beautifully decorated. The owner met us as we arrived earlier than check-in after flying all night from the US. It was in the heart of Civitavecchia near where 6 of our friends were staying,
This Hotel is perfectly located if you want to stay close to the Port. It’s about a little bit over an hour to Rome and a 5-10 mins bus ride to catch your cruise line. Lots of restaurants near the center within a 5 mins walk.
Simón was wonderful, helpful and kind! The hotel is small, nothing fancy but so clean, pretty, and comfortable.
Perfect for a short period of time to visit Civitavecchia and get into the port if you going to a cruise.
The breakfast was amazing a lot more than I expected, the people at the hotel really good and very helpful, The accommodation was very close to the ship went to the markets fantastic
Both Simone and Eugenio are really kind and help you in everything. It is the best place to stay if you're to cruise starting in Civitavecchia.
I really recommend this place.
Nothing. We would have go to a hotel but there was no availability due to our transatlantic cruise the next day, Civitavecchia was very busy and all hotels were full.
