I had a wonderful experience for 3 days in Sibiu. We had the best accommodation at Transylvanian Valley: central but very quiet location, welcoming rooms and a dreamy inner courtyard where we enjoyed our coffee. Actually everything here was great, and our host (Filip) really made the difference, even giving us recommendations about places in Sibiu. Transylvanian Valley is a place where you want to come back for sure.

Lovely old town with small and large square and lots of interesting and colorful architecture. I recommend to visit the Brukenthal National Museum and of course the beautiful bridge of lies (by night extra special). We travelled with our two dogs and saw no stray dogs in Sibiu.

Great historical city with a cosmopolitan feel and surroundings worth exploring also depending on the season. Paltinis has decent skiing (24km away) and Dumbrava is a cute recreational area. Very clean and well maintained central area.

We visited the upper and lower town, the city walls and took lots of pictures of the eyes of Sibiu. It’s a very walkable small city. We also visited, on the recommendation of our host, the Astra National Ethnographic Museum Complex. We ate traditional Romanian dishes and drank local craft beer at Restaurant La Bubu.

Some of the attraction to be seen in Sibiu: the Large Square, Brukenthal Museum, Liars’ Bridge, Evangelic Church, Citadel wall with 3 towers are just.
See Sibiu from above. The easiest way is to climb the council Tower in the main square of Sibiu.
Nearby: make sure not to miss the ethnography sections of the Astra Museum; Sibiu Zoo; The story of the calendar; The medieval fortress of Cisnadioara; Valea Zanelor Clay Castle; The upside down house
We only stayed for few hours as we had an early flight.
This is perfect if you want to have a shower and put your head down as the airport is just 5 min drive and the bus stop with local buses is in front of the property.
If you check in late, please make sure you have very clear instructions where you need to be as this caused us lots of stress and time. Also, rudness is a ‚ cultural thing’ , don’t take it personally:)
The host seemed to be thpical Romanian with an attitude. All in all, I would recommend it for a short stay.
The huge and nice holiday apartmant flat was very close to the centrum of Sibiu. It was very clean and everything what was needed was there (tovels, etc.) Even we (my two kids (son with 23 age, daugther with age 20 and me) did not use the kitchen everything was there. Bathroom was small but very nice. Our stay in Sibiu was really great which was mainly based on 10 min walk to centrum. If we travel to Sibui once again we will try to book this flat once again.
Home away from home, Damiani Boutique Hôtel is the finest family owned and family run hotel in the residential part of Sibiu, with all facilities for business and private short or mid-term stays. Breakfast Buffet is generously served every morning; ancestral Transylvanian delicacies and traditional recipes brought directly from local countryside producers. A true feast you will remember.
The property is spotless, smells like heaven and the personnel very welcoming. We booked 2 rooms for one night, but we wished we could stay longer. The breakfast is buffet style, offering a variety of delicious Romanian food. Hidden in the Dumbrava Minunata forest, where the birds are singing all day long, it is a piece of paradise and a hidden gem. Thank you, guys!
It was the best place we have stayed at in România!
The room was really nice and bright , the bathroom and the shower worked perfectly!! (Believe me that is rare- there is usually something off concerning showering) the beds were the most comfortable, and the hosts were very, very nice. The location was great. I couldn’t have been happier here.
The BEST hotel I’ve stayed in in Romania BY FAR. Beautiful, comfortable, the AC WORKS!!!, black out curtains, quiet, the view of the Bridge of Lies cannot be beat, centrally located, the staff are friendly and it’s incredibly affordable ($60/night for a single in April). I wish I could stay in Sibui longer just to stay in this hotel. A++
The Hotel is beautiful, clean, comfy beds!
Hotel staff was very friendly, happy to help and give everything you ask for.
I had an early Flight and I was offer to take the Breakfast to go, I can tell was a very good breakfast !
I will recommend to everyone traveling in the area or that is flying to Sibiu Airport.
New hotel and it was about time for Sibiu to have a new one. 🙂
The lobby is nice, looks like the standard Accor. Plenty of parking places, 4 electric slots if you bring your own charger.
The staff is polite and helpful most of the time.
The breakfast is nice and replenished often.
The host was excellent! We stayed at multiple properties while in Romania and she was by far the most welcoming and accommodating. The room was very large by European standards and had all of the modern amenities you could need. The location was perfect for exploring Sibiu on foot.
Best 3 things about this hotel are:
- Location, in a quiet corner literally just off one of the main squares in Sibiu
- The bed was super comfy, the aircon was very powerful and the shower was nice
- The design of my room was modern, fresh and trendy
We loved pretty much everything about the hotel. It's a very small boutique hotel (as the name implies) with only 4 rooms. The room design is really superior and well-done. Breakfast was good, the staff were very friendly. The location was great.
Nice pension near centrum of Sibiu. Everything was like in the advertisement. Almost new, nice garden, safe part of the city . We have received early check-in from the owner. We can recommend for all types of travelers.
The rooms and bathrooms were clean, modern and comfortable. One of the nicest bathrooms I've seen in hotels in Romania. Great location, the hotel is a 5 minute walk to the city center and is easily accessible by car as well.
Our room was comfortable and the hotel location was perfect for a short walk to the rail station. Staff were helpful about storing luggage. It took us about 12 minutes to walk to the beautiful medieval centre of Sibiu.
The beds were very comfortable, was truly my best night sleep since I’ve been in Romania. The location was close to absolutely everything. Loved the espresso in the morning and the shower was hot and powerful.
We had a wonderful stay at Magister Seven. The house is stunning and the hosts are very nice and helpful. It was probably the best experience we had at a hotel in Romania.
I liked that the room was very clean, Bathroom as well. It was very quiet during the night and very warm inside.
It was great to have big parking lot near the Hotel.
Top location, extremely big room, clean décoration, liberty in checking in time with code. Best place i stay in Romania. Great quality bed. Love this place 🥰
