My husband and I have stayed here last year and returned once again as it's our Go To hotel in Douglas - it is very well located on the seafront, has exceptional cleanliness standards and although officially rated a 4 star hotel, there are touches which elevate the client experience to another notch upwards such as the inclusion of slippers in your room, super fluffy white towels including Face Cloths/Towels(!) and a generous and complimentary mini bar. However, on this visit we met Peter who is one of the Managers and whose customer service is just amazing. Peter is very professional, patient, friendly, totally focused on making customers happy and feel at home, explaining all the services and offering ideas for places to eat and other activities and was a joy to interact with. What an asset to the hotel he is!

Coming off the ferry the place was easy to find. The bath tub, despite being quite small. It had grab bars and that was helpful. Tea making facilities. The breakfast was quite good!

We know the Isle of Man very well and although Douglas has suffered through the current financial crisis, it is still a good city to visit. The museum is free and very informative. The tour of the government building likewise. It is easy to get around the city and buses to other parts of the island are plentiful. There is a range of restaurants to suit every pocket and we also cane home with Isle of Man kippers. People are friendly, including the lovely staff at the Hydro. I would always encourage visitors to make Douglas a base and travel all over the Island. Peel, Ramsey and Castletown all are worth a visit and offer differing aspects of the Island.

Douglas is a seaside town with most places in close proximity to each other; the ferry terminal and Tourists Information Centre, the shops, cafés, pubs, banks, museum, and the two seafront theatres. The Villa Marina is a large theatre and cinema. The Gaiety Theatre is a smaller and most charming old theatre. Further down the Seafront is The Palace Cinema. I enjoyed a good film there. Comfortable seats. There a nice chippies around the town. The bus route Douglas to Ramsey along the coast road has stunning views. The other main towns are quick and easy to get to on bus, and the airport too. That's just half hour away.

Douglas is lovely, lots or restaurants, bars and shops it is clean and feels safe. The seafront is great lovely view of the harbour and is well maintained. There is a theatre which looked fabulous but we didn't have time to stay for a show.
We spent 8 nights at home away from home in the Balmoral Suite. Everything was great. Buffet breakfast every morning was very good. Lots of hot and cold choices and some special order items including kippers. A couple of days we had a late lunch in the piano bar. Good location within walking distance of everything in Douglas. The bus that passes out front will take you everywhere on IOM. Great getaway spot.
Our suite was wonderful, extremely clean and very friendly staff. The breakfast was probably the best which we have had world wide, including 5 star hotels - and served with a smile. We will be back in the Spring and will definitely be booking at The Regency. A final note - due to family illness back in England, we had to cut our visit short by one day, and the staff were very supportive and helpful in this.
Despite being the ugliest building on Douglas sea front the hotel is fine inside. We had a sea view room which had a small balcony and excellent views. Buffet style breakfast is very good. One night we ate in the restaurant and that was good value. Guest have access to the Health Club which has a decent sized pool. Good sized car park. Intenet worked well. Staff friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was served as a hot and cold buffet, the staff were friendly and helpful. If there was something that you wanted / needed you only had to ask. The room was clean and tidy, if a little dark due to being on the inside of the the hotel, no natural light in the room. Location was good, easy access to most locations in Douglas..
We had a very enjoyable stay on Isle of Man.
The location is very good, just off the promenade and besides the electric railway bringing us to Laxey.
Overall public transport on Isle of Man is easy to use, well sign-posted and everyone we spoke to were very welcoming. We are considering coming back to Isle of Man next year.
Ideal location just outside of Douglas plenty of parking and I was able to park outside the owners garage. Very large property with lots of communal space to sit and relax in lounge and conservatory with great views across the Bay. Host was very helpful and for our first Visit to the Isle of Man could not have wanted more.
tasty and value breakfast, TV + internet, only 5 minute walk to beach and 10 mins to centre of Douglas, car parking - given a badge for restricted areas around IoM and told where to park during stay only 5 min walk from hotel. Provided pack up on last morning when we left early for ferry
Glen Mona is a lovely older building with easy access to the Promenade and beautiful seafront. We walked a short distance to another hotel for breakfast. The breakfast was quite good.
I come Isle of Man for work twice a year, since covid I haven’t been able to come but previously I stayed this hotel and now every time I come over I will be staying here, 10 out of 10.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful, including advice about local facilities. The breakfasts were excellent. The location was superb to see Douglas and the wider Isle of Man.
