The location, the comfortable bed, the quality of the sheets, the pillows and pretty much everything. The staff are super nice and really take care of you. I love the fact that they had a restaurant below with an amazing wine list, and the views are to die for. Breakfast was full of lots of cakes and other alternatives. Montalcino is a quiet hill town that we love returning to often. We love walking all around town. A 4 hour hike gets you to Sant' Antimo Abbey and then you can take the bus back to town. We love eating at Il Moro and at Osteria di Porta al Cassero as well as Re di Macchia. Great town at the winter holidays!

We stayed in Montalcino two nights, which was about right for people who like wine but aren’t fanatics. Drove all over, got lost, went to Montepulciano (very crowded, steep and hard to get to—was very glad we stayed in Montalcino instead!) enjoyed the Abbey de Sant Altimo south of town, not overrun by people.

a wonderful town for wine & food lovers. you can drink excellent wines for far less than they cost in the States. we also found excellent restaurants. the ambiance is really nice here. in particular there is an enoteca with over 100 wines by the glass or taste and will ship the wines to you that you would like to buy. we easily found 3 cases to send home with free shipping!

If you wish to visit Tuscany, Montalcino is the ideal place to stay. It's a lovely, attractive village with plenty of places to eat and drink. This region also has a lot of good restaurants. It is nevertheless quite close to other important towns and sites that are far more touristic, so I would recommend this area if you want to have a lot of options without being in the most touristic and busy locations around.

Fantastic little town. Some great restaurants. Right in the best wine area in Italy. You will love it! Re di Macchia Restorante was so good. The best Florentine steak we ever had. Good prices and the owner Antonio gave us round after round of free Limincello and grappa. He is the best!!!!

The proprietor and host - Simone, couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. He was a real highlight of our visit. The room was rustic (as expected of an agriturismo), large and very clean. There was ample parking. We ordered the picnic basket for dinner (supper) after a long day of travel, and it was fantastic - cooked by Mom! We did the wine tasting on-site, and it is well worth the 18€. Naturally, we also left with a few bottles of excellent Brunello di Montalcino. We would definitely stay here again.

This is my second time staying at the hotel. I am a foreigner living in Italy and am absolutely in love with the views from the rooms. They are clean and the staff was super friendly. They knew I was a solo traveler and made sure to help me with parking and directions to navigate through the town. Of special note was the receptionist Mariangela who made me feel like family and was very warm and kind throughout my stay.

Honestly this place is an actual dream! Stayed here for our honeymoon and it was by far our favorite place/hotel to stay at. The property is exactly what you imagine when you are wanting that dreamy Tuscan villa. Literally straight out of a movie. The staff was so friendly! When you stay you get a free hour in the spa (with no one else) and a free wine tour and the winery was also stunning! This place gets 20/10

The property is a delightful reflection of this beautiful town of Montalcino! The location is excellent and all of the furnishings and amenities were perfect. Staff was most accommodating and facility has everything needed. Valet parking offered within this zone restricted location - that deserves a 10 right there!!! My only regret was staying for one night.

The property is stunning. It’s a close walk to the nearby village where we had excellent dinners. The breakfasts were fantastic, the gardens are impeccable. It was nice to cool off in the afternoon in the pool. We absolutely loved our stay, I would love to return. The Montalcino area is so breathtakingly beautiful.

Hotel located at quiet place surrounded by vineyards and forest, in ~5km from Montalcino. Normal breakfast, but surved slowly (~45-55 mins). Good dinner with a local vines is available, that was helpful at arrival due to remote location of the hotel.
