The Property is very beautiful. The walk from the Restaurant to the hotels is lovely. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is very convenient when you have your own transportation as it is out of town however, the estate is very quiet which we liked.

Location, cleanliness, staff, bedrooms, breakfast all amazing. Really enjoyed our stay. Our room and bathrooms were massive and even a small outside patio area with table and chairs. Constant lit fires inside made it nice and cosy. Wish we could have stayed longer. Breakfast was great and staff were always on hand and friendly. Keep up the good work!

Hotel staff were amazing, Conrad and his team went above and beyond to make our anniversary special. Room was so plush and comfy, gardens are beautiful. Dinner at Epice is a MUST! Protege breakfast was excellent.

Our initial booking had a strong unpleasant odor and was surrounded by baboons, making it difficult to open the doors. However, the owners promptly responded and swiftly upgraded us to a fantastic property. Their professionalism was exemplary.

The village was easy to navigate by foot. Great restaurants were close to the hotel. There were lovely shops a-plenty. The security has increased a lot since our last visit as had general cleanliness. Service everywhere was exemplary.

The main purpose of going to Franschhoek is to eat in some of the fabulous restaurants. Apart from that there is not a lot else to do and it can be very hot making it uncomfortable just to walk around the village. If self catering there are very good grocery stores including Woolworths Food and a relatively new and modern Checkers. There is also a large Pick n Pay but it is a much lower standard than the other two which are more up market.

We love Franschhoek and could easily have stayed longer. We love wandering along Huguenot Street with its many shops and small restaurants and the market on Saturdays and Sundays. We visited Haute Cabriere, Mont Rochelle and Mullineux & Leeu. We enjoyed an excellent lunch in all and had the best wine tasting in Mullineux & Leeu. On the way out we had “high tea” (at 10.30 am) in Orangerie at Le Lude which was quite amazing

Loved Franschhoek but 2 or 3 nights here would probably be enough as town is lovely but small. A great base for doing the winre tram and visiting the various wineries but many can also be reached just as easiliy from Stellenbosch which seemed a little livelier and more going on. Liked the market with drinks and music. Drivers take note the pass into Franschhoek (the R45 from the R43 or R321) is closed 0900-1700 weekdays until the end of Feb 2024!MarkUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10
Franschoek is a gem!
Franschoek is a gem! Fabulous places to stay, a most beautiful Main Street with so much character, beautiful shops and restaurants, and the Wine Tram. This runs like clockwork and is a perfect way to visit several wine estates without needing to use your car. The estates are fabulous and you stop as long as you like, hopping on the next tram when you are ready!

The staff were friendly and very helpful from check-in to check-out, providing everything you needed from extra water to ice cubes. A tranquil gem of a place that I can highly recommend.
