Everything about the stay was amazing. The stunning views, great food, exceptional hospitality. The staff went over and beyond to make our 20th anniversary special with an unexpected surprise in our room after our dinner. Candle lit bath with petals across our bed and a delicious platter. I loved everything about the place. The hotel is well maintained and clean. Feels like a little piece of heaven on earth.

Waiters need a little revamp.
Waiters need a little revamp. They should act as a 5 star hotel personnel. Their appearance was as if they have just been taken from the fields. Uniform was not up the standard. They also need workshop on HOSPITALITY. They didn't have 'THEE THING'! The waiters by the gate and by the desertte serving stations kept on gazing at us. It felt uncomfortable. They just stood and stared at us😏. It was like they r 'policing' us🙄.AAnonymous - 6.0Scored 6.0
The area is nice.
The area is nice. Large lake with some good game viewing from the lake and lots of birdlife. We stayed in a B&B called Tamboti (in need of a refurb and quite basic) linked to Shayamoya Game Reserve which is part of the same ownership as the houseboats. From what we experienced the game aspect was ok to good with a good guide. The B&B was very average, the restaurant at Shayamoya is hit and miss but in a nice enough setting. Overall fairly pricey for what we got but not a horrible experience. Wouldn't rush back but wouldn't put anyone off going either as there are some nice aspects just let down a bit here and there.

What a Host!!! I have yet to find a host that takes so much interest in his guests. Thanks Dave for the Sunset cruise which you so kindly offered us at on your private Boat.
