The location of the hotel is excellent and we enjoyed the pools with sea water. The hotel offered a really delicious breakfast in a courtyard overlooking the pool. We were picked and dropped off at the port. We did not have dinner at the hotel so we cannot comment on its quality. Overall a very lovely stay.

This is the perfect small family run hotel in a charming location! With the sea on three sides, you could hear the waves lapping as you lay in bed and the breakfast/dining area was a covered deck over the sea. Breakfast itself was very Neapolitan: lots of cake but also fruit, cereals etc. As for the staff, they were also charming, the friendlest and most helpful I've ever encountered.
Overlooking the natural pools of Ponza, Hotel Ortensia is set on a hill and is a 10-minute walk from the beach. It features a panoramic terrace and offers rooms with air conditioning.

Small island with a lot of secret history.
Small island with a lot of secret history. We visited the Roman cisterns and the botanical Garden as well as taking a boat trip out to neighboring island--uninhabited-- of Zannone. Attractive little shops in Porto the main town and very good restaurants, as this place caters to Italians--very few foreign visitors. Very good bus service races up and down the island, depositing people above the best beaches, which are a long way down!
NB Mainly fish on offer.

Beautiful island with breathtaking views.
Beautiful island with breathtaking views. The sea is multicolor, the water was so clear and beautiful.
I recommend taking a hotel near the port, as most of the life was there, however it wasn't too crowded and it was so pleasant to walk around.
I recommend a cruise around the island (we took one with Cooperativa Barcaioli Ponzesi), we had really great time and there was lunch on board.
Just a couple of things to keep in mind:
1- The island is quite uphill from the port, therefore when booking a hotel, even though it says that it's only 10-15 minutes walk from the port, there good chances that it is uphill, so you must be quite fit. Of course the view from uphill is so beautiful, and totally worth it, but not the most comfortable option. As there are a lot of stairs to go up, taxis may not get you exactly where you need to go. If you have mobility problems or you are unfit, please speak with the hotel to ensure that it is the right one for you, otherwise you may choose a hotel in front of the port.
2- The island is quite pricey, definitely more expensive than average in Italy. A coke was 4€, and a small bottle of beer 7€. Average meal with one main course and a glass of wine was about 35€.

Beautiful views and since it was the end of the season (November) there was enough space to park your park, despite the small and steep roads. Do not visit this island with your own car during the summer. There is a good bus on the island.

Ponza is a beautiful island which in many ways feels quite untouched. The best way to experience Ponza is by boat and I highly recommend that you spend at least one day sailing around the island with a local.
Fantastic location. Connected to the main town by a 15-20 min bus ride, it is right in front of the steps to access Cala Feola, one of the rare sandy beaches in Ponza, and it is contiguous to Le Piscine, which can be reached swimming from Cla Feola, or through dedicated steps at walking distance.
About 10 minutes walking distance from the small center La Forna, with groceries and several restaurants and cafeterias.
Highly recommended.
The most friendly staff, conveniently located walking distance to the natural pool, market and a restaurant. Wish we would have eaten at the hotel restaurant for dinner because the restaurant by the church was not very good.
The balcony door had a magnetic screen so was nice to keep it open at night.
Breakfast was plentiful and they made us eggs to order with bacon and two cappuccinos.
Service was excellent!

Great place. Not so crowded. Calm and peaceful. Just a few steps (stairs) away from Cala Feola Beach. The Bus stop is 2 mins by walk. Carlo (the host) was very kind and helpful. He took me a ride from and to the port, gave me a lot useful information about the island. Perfect experience. Ponza island is an adorable place.
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel especially welcomed. The room was immaculate, the staff were incredibly accommodating, and the location was perfect. The view from our room was spectacular. This will be where we stay every time we visit Ponza. This place is an absolute Gem!!!!
The view from the hotel and from the room was breathtaking.
There is a terrace with a small swimming pool, which was very nice.
The food at the restaurant was also good.
The breakfast was average but enough.
The hotel offers a pick-up from the centre from 5pm to 12am, which was helpful.
Ponza Holiday Homes was tucked away in the country but still only a 20 minute walk from the port of Ponza. The host (and his family members) drove us to the property, and back for our departure. The kitchen was well stocked with the essentials. Great place for a good nights sleep!
Everything was absolutely beautifull.
Stunning location in Ponza centre close to everything you may need.
Beautifull touch in any particular.
Amazing personalized breakfast.
Great host and great attention to every customer.
Best staying ever!
Great hotel right next to the port. My room had a nice little balcony where I took breakfast and worked. The reception was very kind and helpful! Everything clean and comfy for a solo traveler like me.
Villa Laetitia is in a very good location and offers a great sea view. The staff are very efficient and available. The terrace is fantastic and offers a great view for a very relaxed breakfast.
Property had the most gorgeous view! Have to walk up a decent amount of stairs but very worth it. The people working there were so kind and accommodating. We loved our stay! Ponza is amazing.
