A very pretty island but if you travel on the ferry for a day trip make sure you check the weather report because we got stuck there overnight which was stressful. The Ferry company had no website and the phone number was engaged all of the time. The information was non-existent and staff were at times rude and not helpful. Were given false information and told the next ferry was at 3pm. We had to cancel the accommodation we had paid for and book another night in Piombino. We were having lunch and saw the ship's funnel emitting smoke. We had to run for 1 km to get on the ferry with no warning.

The historic centre was beautiful with great views; the port area very scenic & has great views too! We went for a week of hiking around th island only so we have no idea about beaches, but there were many nice bays & beaches to explore for another trip there.

Nice little town, good attractions.
Nice little town, good attractions. Napoleon's home is closed on Tuesday. Great shops, nice little restaurants. Parking is a bit hard to find, take change with you instead of paper money for the meters. Beautiful views from almost everywhere. It was easy to get in and out on the ferry in this, the main port.

Portoferraio is a bustling historical town with a lovely harbour where you can just sit and watch the magnificient boats and yachts from the front line cafes. We were very surprised that it is such a lovely spot even though it is a busy Ferry Port. The water quality in the vacinity is also surprisingly excellent. All in all We would definitely recommend the whole vacinity around Portoferraio. It was our fifth time on Elba and it always surprises us with another gem. It is really a wonderful island to visit:)

A lively place buzzing in the evenings.
A lively place buzzing in the evenings. Food was not very good, but a short trip outside of Portoferaio gave you plenty of good restaurants to choose from, the island is small so it is easy to get around the whole island. We recommend a boat trip, so many lovely places to swim that are not accessable from the road.
the best thing about the hotel is the beautiful view over the bay. There’s a kind of viewing terrace which offers a clear view of the sea and the mountains, and at sunset is wonderful.
There’s quite a quaint village vibe to the hotel with lots of small apartment style rooms scattered around a mountain side climb.
A private access to a pebble beach.
There is a restaurant onsite which is quite nicely decorated in a neutral tone.
The rooms are air conditioned.
The concierge staff were very helpful and accommodating.
This apartment is close to the port and gives you access to all the attractions in Portoferraio. The apartment is laid out in a beautiful way both for aesthetics and function. The breeze flows through the open windows. The amenities are plentiful. If you want to use AC you can, we did not need it even in August. There are activities in the square right outside your door and many restaurants nearby. This is the perfect spot if you want to have a fun experience in Portoferraio, Elba.
La Feluca was a great place to stay in. The best part of the hotel was the location and that lots of free parking is available to guest. The hotel is very clean and every morning you will be very happy to go get complimentary breaks fast (only thing that isn’t great is that it’s only available from 8-9:30 am. The staff was super accommodating and always available for help. The beach is a short walk away and very close to little restaurants to get a bite to eat.
We stayed there for 10 days (!), 2 adults and 1 child (4 yrs) each day we drove to a different location on the island. We found that the beach close to the hotel was fun and lively even though it's not a sandy beach :)
The hotel itself is clean and quite with beautiful gardens, the staff was super friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good.
The restaurant at the resort was perfect for light dinners (pizza is outstanding) we ate there almost every night.
The hotel upgraded us to a suite and the view from the room was incredible. You could see Portoferrario in the distance and enjoy boats moored out in the water.
The shower was large, the soaps and lotions smelled wonderful, and the style of the room made you feel you went back in time.
The buffet breakfast provided choices for everyone and of course what is better than starting the day with a perfect cappuccino or espresso.
The bests hosts, Domitilla showered us with warmth the whole time and her son Alessandro was extremely responsive to any questions we had. The room was kept extremely clean by our hosts. Great breakfast on the terrace, panoramic views, and location (especially for those without a car). Also in 5-20 min walking distance to beautiful crystal clear beaches, Ghiae, Padullela, Capo Bianco.
Everything about this hotel was beautiful. Located on a hill above a cove, you can sit on your porch and watch the ocean. The rooms were clean, cozy, and comfortable.
The staff was amazing and friendly!
The breakfast was delicious and full of variety.
The little bar was perfect for grabbing a bottle of the local bianco and sitting outside watching the moon come up.
We were visiting Italy, came up Elba. This hotel was nice, traditional Italian style, nothing big but friendly. Restaurant staff was amazing. I had my best chocolate croissant there! We had a great lunch poolside. Saltwater pool was very relaxing. The beach front is not great but nice if you just want to sit by the water. Staff and cleanliness was great.
We booked room with garden, it was very clean, spacious. The conditioner work well. The location is graat - near marina, capital of Elba and beaches. Near the hotel is the bay. The breakfast was good, delicios, with variety of choice. The staff was very nice, responsive. Would like to return once again!
A beautiful stay with welcoming hosts! It's a short 10 minute walk to cafes and a really spectacular beach and a 30 minute walk to the heart of Portoferraio. Plenty of parking if you have a car. The hosts are very communicative and welcoming, and the flats are very comfortable.
The location was central and very convenient, offering easy parking options which was a great plus.
nally, the apartment boasted a fantastic view of the gulf and the downtown area of Portoferraio, complete with its ancient walls. It was truly a picturesque setting.
A beautiful hotel with its own beach, a restaurant with sunset views. Very good food. Quiet place. The room has a great view. The room is not new, but it is cleaned perfectly every day. I would have come back. There was one question, but it was quickly resolved.
The location is in the middle of the Old Town so walking to shopping, sites, ferry, beach and restaurants.
The staff and family are very attentive and helpful. They helped book my return ferry with an amazing discount.
The air conditioning is strong.
The apartment is in a large complex with its own restaurant - plenty of parking and would appear safe for kiddies - and a nice pool area. Walking distance to a restaurant and the beach - although the glorious sandy beaches of Elba are a short drive away.
Great location 10 minutes walk from the portoferraio port. The staff were very kind and helpful, the room was very clean and comfortable, I sincerely enjoyed the tasty and fresh breakfast.
