Vens is a hamlet at elevation 1700m, in Val d'Aosta, on the Comune St Nicolas. It's high up on the mountain side but easy to find, it is very quiet and in the middle of a stunning nature and scenery. With all the wild mountainous experiences around. We hade the chance to see the "Desarpe", a francoprovençal word to picture the time all the cows are herd down from the alpine pastures to the valley where they spend the cold winter.

The location is nice - it's a small town with a forest park nearby, and a chapel with great views and a promenade lit at night. The single room wasn't large but I've seen much smaller, so not bad. Also a balcony with a view was a nice plus.
