During our stay my partner and I didn’t take the time to explore the city of Sassari. But during the evenings we did enjoy going to a couple nice restraunts. We did enjoy using the public transportation to visit other cities but overall sassari is a very calm place to stay and very close to the north western part of the island.

Not a real tourist town but with a nice old centre (small streets, high houses, colorful facades). When we visited it (late afternoon + early evening first week of May), it was extremely quiet - some squares seemed totally deserted - which created a weird atmosphere. Scene and streets got more livelier around Piazza d'Italia and University but not what you might expect from a city with >100.000 inhabitants.
Conclusion: nice but not unmissable.

Sassari is a very nice town with historical city center, old walls and friendly people. Sadly the tram line is not working, although it would be useful. You can stay here for many days like at home. The town is near Alghero and Porto Torres, so many programs are there at the sea also. Recommended for everyone.

Sassari itself was disappointing.
Sassari itself was disappointing. We walked around it in an afternoon! However it was a great base for exploring the local area with great transport links! We visited Alghero, Porto Torres, Castelsardo and Stintino

The city is nice but i belive that is not the best place for accommodation in Sardignia! No beach and you need a car for traveling and stay in around 4 hours/day.
Nice restaurants in the city :) with nice athmosfere!
Excellent location in the most beautiful square in Sassari. The host was most welcoming and obliging and made an effort to assist us, even though we only spoke English and have very basic Italian. The property was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was provided at a range of places in the Piazza d'Italia. The owner was most obliging in allowing us to leave our luggage at the property after check-out (our return journey was only late that afternoon).
This is a great place to stay in Sassari. We enjoyed everything: the cosy atmosphere in the rooms, the furnitures and works are of good quality, the place on the terrasse for breakfast is nice, the breakfast as well (our host made savory breakfast because we did not want sweet ones).
It was easy to communicate with Massimo.
The place was spotless: respect for maintaining such cleanliness in all the building!
The staff at reception was very kind and helpful, the service was fast. Room was very nice, modern, bed was very good, bathroom spacious and with everything you need. Breakfast was served in a very nice space inside and in backyard. There was plenty of everything you would wish for breakfast and it was tasty. Location of hotel is perfect, in old centre, very near bus and railway station.
A very clean apartment that was very clean and comfortable for two persons!
Outside are enough free parking spots on the street making it pretty comfortable for people traveling by car.
Walking distance to the cit centre and a train station right in front of the hotel!
Breakfast was also very charming.
Very nice stay in Sassari, thank you!
We loved the place. Easy to find. Had everything we needed. Incredibly comfortable bed. Perfect distance to get to Porto Torres or Sassari in 15 or 20 minutes, but far enough away from them to chill and have a practically noiseless and very restful stay. Self check-in and out is easy but we were fortunate to meet our lovely host Andrea.
Cleanliness, location and comfort. Everything was brand new and spotless! Marco had considered guests and their needs and was available to answer any questions or give recommendations etc. Exceeded our expectations and would definitely recommend the property to any couple wishing to stay in the centre of Sassari.
Great location to explore Sassari and Sardinia (a few min walk from the train station). The place had everything we needed, it was clean and comfortable. We had an issue with Wi-Fi which was fixed super quickly by the host. Would definitely recommend!
It was a very good stay! The room was nice and confortable, with a big bathroom and a little kitchen outside if needed. 5 min away from the center of the town. We’ve got all the informations easily - good communication. Perfect place to visit SASSARI!
The owner is amazing. Super friendly, knows everything about the city and is in one word hospitable. This man knows how to run a hotel. Furthermore, the accommodation is chique, super clean and the amenities are GREAT. everything you need and more!
Staff was particularly helpful and friendly. We got a parking ticket before arriving at the hotel and didn't know how to pay it. The hotel staff paid it for us shortly after we arrived and added to our bill with no service or other added fees.
Newly refurbished, clean, well maintained.... The nice place from where all the region is easely accessible by car. Hotel is on nice location,, with private parking... Everything like in description. I recommend to all smart Travellers :)
The property was great, right in the heart of Sassari.
It was clean and very comfortable.
Very close to the center and the host was extremely kind, professional and helpful. Definitely staying here again on our next visit to Sassari.
Great location in Sassari old town. Very clean, spacious and well presented with comfortable beds. Really convenient for local shops and restaurants. Air conditioning was great and good to have a washing machine and drier.
I liked the communication with the contact person, the location is excellent, the studio has everything for a comfy and smooth stay in Sassari. It is a quiet area but 5 minutes walking distance from everything.
Very well designed room and bathroom in terms of both aesthetics and functionality. Good location in old quarter of Sassari, although a bit difficult to locate. Excellent breakfast.
Friendly staff and owner
Near Sassari city center (5-10 minutes walk)
Park just pass the street
Free parking on the street
Free drinks in the fridge on arrival
Great location in the heart of centro storico! La Casetta has all amentities to make your stay perfect as the washing machine and iron were most useful for me :)
