The View is Incredible, and the Staff currently working there are Great! It made my brother and I feel like we were right at home from the moment we walked into the door. I've been going to Wild Farm For years, and so far, this is the best staff host I've come across in the backpacking Industry.

There is nothing negative to say about our stay in Wilderness, other than I wish it could have been for longer! Our accomadation at Tranquil Shores, was simply perfect. Our host was so gracious and generous with advise for local activities and attractions. The room we stayed in was lovely and very tastefully decorated.
Honestly this was such a lovely place to spend some time in.

The beaches and views from the top of Hoekwil or Map of Africa are too beautiful. The nature walks and general magical feeling of the place makes it an ideal holiday destination. It is close to the large town of George and Knysna with markets available on Saturdays,
You would need a car to get around Wilderness.

One of the most stunning (and our favourite) beaches in the World.
Plenty of good restaurants - great value.
Loved the view from para gliding site but Map of Africa did not meet expectations.
Very restful / having had busy 3 weeks beforehand.
Restaurants - Las salinas; girls 👧 n the square; joplins steak house; pommodoro - all excellent and good value. Las S was our favourite; walking distance; good food and excellent service.

We stayed three nights in Wilderness and that was probably the perfect length of stay. It's a small town, but a very beautiful location. The long beach is nice, if you like that sort of thing. However, exploring the lagoon on an 'eco-cruise' is a 'must' and probably the most enjoyable adventure on our three-week stay in South Africa. Wilderness is also blessed with some good restaurants, 'The Girls On The Square' deserves an accolade, but 'Serendipity' is in a league of its own - one of the best restaurants I've visited anywhere in the world.

This is an amazingly clean and beautiful property.
This is an amazingly clean and beautiful property. It has a lovely pool with sunbeds and seating area to rear of property and the front of the property overlooks the most stunning beach. Little extras in the room make it absolutely fabulous. The hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly as is the family dog Duke. Would highly recommend.
The accommodation was perfect for a stay-over “hub” with a great view and access to a beach. The location is central to a wide range activities within the town of Wilderness and the surrounding towns. One of the main highlights was the included breakfast provided with the best hospitality from the hosts and typical large South African portions (if you choose to have a large breakfast).
This home on the beach is splendid! My wife and I booked a weekend there, and loved the cozy atmosphere, and natural wonder just outside our door. If you're looking for a place to enjoy the beach with your family, this is it.
Everything you may need was provided in the home, and our host Nora was the most lovely, interesting person.
Everything was perfect! A stunning hotel in a beautiful location. Our room was spacious with wonderful decoration and gorgeous comfortable bed with crisp white sheets. Wonderful details made it extra special - from the bag packed ready for the beach, to the coffee and biscuits replenished daily. And the team were lovely!
This cottage in the middle of the green wild with a stunning view over the wilderness bay left an unforgettable memory.
Our host was more than helping. He did an extra 1 hour drive to rescue us from a car breakdown in the late evening on the day of our arrival.
Thank you so much, we’ll come back!
Nice room with view on river. Good meals. The hotel and facilities have been upgraded and the garden is beautiful. The location is spectacular with a nice river for swimming and rowing and a pleasant hike to the waterfall just around the corner.
The property certainly lives up to its name, located at a vantage point overlooking a river bed, extremely scenic and tranquil.
Rooms are comfortable and very value for the price, Would totally recommend the place for a stay in Wilderness.
