Antibes is a wonderful town along the French Riviera, and a good alternative to Nice as a base for a visit, especially if you want a more overall charming spot to bask in. Walking around is a delight, with lots of little surprises along the way. The Picasso Museum is excellent and well worth a visit. One restaurant that we particularly enjoyed was Le P'tit Cageot. It has a limited menu but the entrees and desserts are excellent!

Antibes is a lively town with numerous bars, shops and restaurants. Beer 7 euros a pint although to be expected. Easy to reach other places of interest eg Monte Carlo, Cannes, Villefranche. Buses and trains very cheap. Lovely marina

Anyway, it is near the highway, if someone wants to move around to other places. Continental breakfast on a reservation and not included; it was good but might be improved. Solarium and a small pool on the rooftop. Very kind and helpful the night man.
