This is a lovely place to stay if you’re on a bike (velo) tour. Our party of four cyclists had one large room on two levels with 4 separate beds, a safe place to store bikes overnight, a fabulous evening meal, a cooked breakfast and even a small pool in which to unwind at the end of the day. Easy walk into town.

Such an elegant hotel. Our room and terrace were lovely, extremely comfortable and well maintained. The staff were exceptional, especially Emiline who seemed to be the unlucky one who was always available to answer all of our assorted questions about the surrounding area. She is delightful.
The restaurant, Roda, was outstanding. The food and service exceptional with an elegant setting.

Brantome is an extremely picturesque small town and is a major attraction for tourists, particularly during high season. The varied shops and cafes provide opportunities to browse while the weekly market is a must-see if you are able to visit. The whole town is a network of small streets and bridges to explore with the river, parks and abbey providing photo opportunities at every turn. Brantôme is a lovely little town, great for a day trip or overnight stay. Very picturesque, with plenty to see and do. Good choice of restaurants but they fill up quickly so need to be booked fairly early in the day.

The abbey was fascinating and such a highlight. The town was lovely and quiet which suited us. But being a Monday, of course everything was closed! We ate on the Sunday night at our hotel which was superb.

Great atmosphere, lots going on in the Summer months, brilliant weekly market. Lovely scenery, good amenities and plenty of history. The Caves of the Abbey are well worth a visit. The river is lovely where you can either go on the river boat or hire kayaks.MickUnited Kingdom

It was very peaceful and only a lovely 20 minute walk into Brantome. Our room was very comfortable, with excellent facilities and modern bathroom.
