The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful.
The car park being in the basement and very secure.
The spa area, great for an evening swim and relaxation.
Our twin room was comfortable and it was lovely to have a bath as well as shower. There was a kettle and mugs too which is quite a rarity in France and were a welcome addition.
The breakfast was brilliant. So much to choose from and good quality.
The rooms were almost soundproof I swear. There was a lot of noise within the hotel, the music and people coming and going but it all shut up the second the door was closed.
Proximity to the bus station. Truly, it is right outside the front door so not far to carry luggage if arriving by bus or coach.

Second time staying here. The staff is so nice, and the hotel is super warm and comfortable. The pool is heated to 26 C, so swimmable even in cool weather. The hotel was very welcoming of our 3 toy poodles. We also love how there is parking available. We plan to stay longer next time and enjoy the amenities.

I am slightly disabled in that my mobility is restricted by arthritis. Chamonix is a beautiful town in itself but it can be difficult to get around at night.I wanted to check out the live music scene but had real difficulty with transport.Although it is free,or cheap all day it is nearly impossible to get a taxi (unless I have been calling the wrong numbers!).I was told by some locals that they are tied up doing airport runs, how true this is I don't know. I think if you have similar problems then book a long time ahead or online.Otherwise the place is brilliant you have breathtaking views of the high mountains above, alpine meadows and a town that wants for nothing. It is easy to visit Les houches Argentiere and all the beautiful ski areas, even if you can't ski there are mountain railways and cable cars. Expensive but well with it. It is becoming my second home now.

A many time visitor, easy to get about on buses or train and some of the best off-piste there is anywhere. Looking forward to the re-opening of the top cable car so the biggest / best runs will be accessible once again. CMD make sure you don't go down the road Vial and Alterra have taken (selling season passes and driving up day tickets to drive sales of these products and thus maxing out their profits) - On vous voyons!!

Skiing in Chamonix is extreemly snow dependant.
Skiing in Chamonix is extreemly snow dependant. Should you be lucky enough to have several days of powder, each of the individual resourts are more than large enough with loads of off-piste opportunites to ski.
However, as this is a season with limitid snow conditions, each individual resourt becomes too small, with too many people on the piste, as there is too litle snow in the terrain. As such, I would much rather recommend the surronding resorts such as Courmayeur or Verbier for a weeks stay, as you then get away from the dayly transport with busses etc.
The need to tranfere between the different resorts to ski by buss is also a negative aspect, as it is pure madness with everyone trying to get on the first bus that comes. I would definitely not recommend Chamonix for families based on this, as younger children would strugle with the stampede....
As a town Chamonix has a lot to offer, with good shops and resturants, but as a ski destination, I will probably not return, but head off to larger interconnected resorts.

The Chamonix valley provides some of the most amazing alpine scenery anywhere. The mountains are stunning and the opportunities for ski and snowboard adventures in winter are endless. That said, this is not the best choice for beginners or early intermediate skiers or boarders. The majority of the terrain is challenging. Also, be prepared to take the free ski bus up and down the valley to experience all that Chamonix has to offer. The main town has an abundance of great restaurants, bars and shops, but consider staying in one of the quieter villages along the valley if you want to avoid the crowds in peak season.

It’s a really impressive town but lacks the charm of an alpine resort such as Avoriaz or Morzine. Logistics are incredibly troublesome getting to a from slopes. We had to really on bus service which is unreliable, overcrowded and insufficient.
It’s definitely not somewhere to take young kids. It really has an adult feel about the place

it is heaven on earth.
it is heaven on earth. I am so at peace when there. 3 months last year. one month this year 2 months next year. you don't go back if it was poor. I ski but if you don't ski there is still plenty to do. I have so much more to explore. the views are unreal. food is more expensive, but I live on a very tight budget and for me it's the same as home. the bus services are great, you can spend a week just exploring on them and are usually free.

Perfect Location. Very central to do all activities in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc. The central bus station is right opposite the accommodation, very convenient to travel to near by villages and Geneva. I will give more than 5 stars for location. The view from the balcony is beautiful! Kitchen is well equipped , even has a dishwasher .
Reception staff is very very helpful and friendly. They will help adjust even if you are arriving in between reception opening times. All you need to do is to call them before hand and they are able to help.
The staff was kind and professional. We stayed here after we finished hiking the Tour du Mont Blanc and it was the perfect place to rest and recuperate. The hotel unexpectedly upgraded our room which was very much appreciated! The hotel is right next to a bus stop which runs every 30 minutes during the summer (easy to get into the town center). The beds were very comfortable as well and it has a bar and restaurant downstairs to eat at. We highly recommend and would stay again.
-The location is great and convenient. I like that I can walk anywhere nearby for food and the supermarket is just right down from the hotel.
- The room was spotlessly clean when we entered and the housekeeper was also nice when we met her.
- The towers are clean and crisp and I like to have them like that and not many hotels manage to do it. In the room also have a nice coffee from Nespresso.
- the breakfast was great with many options and good quality products.
The hotel is located in the centre of Chamonix: couple of minutes to the local shops/bars/restaurants and 5 minutes walk to the bus stop.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was a buffet, the highlights being sliced sourdough bread, banana bread and very nicely prepared scrambled eggs.
The ski room allocates the skis/boots to your room number with a padlock if you want one.
My bedroom had a great balcony with an amazing view of the Mont Blanc range.
The hotel is a lovely hotel right in the centre of Chamonix and sits on the bank of the river Arve. Breakfast is served in the pub connected to the hotel and there is an amazing view of the river from here.
We were also treated to an amazing view from our room.
The staff are so friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. If (and hopefully when) we return to Chamonix we would stay here again!
The three staff who we came across two days were amazing. Specially the 2 girls at check-in. The hotel has no lift and we were staying on the 3rd floor with 2 huge suitcases. One of the girl offered to help us carry them, which we thought were 5 star customer service! And after we checked out I left my ear rings in the room so the girl called me to notify me.
The hotel located in a good location, rooms and the whole facility needs to be updated. The staff were very friendly and helpful! Generally we liked the hotel and especially the restaurant!
The food was delicious and service excellent! We definitely would visit the restaurant again! Thanks for making our vacation and New Year Eve special!
Staff were fab, nice vibe but the decor and design ! Really ??!? You might try and fob us off with your 70’s cool cat ethos but it was tacky & cheap. That’s would be fine but for €200 + a night at a hotel in the middle of nowhere.. it’s waaaay overpriced. Oh, but it does take pets which is great
The room was comfy. Nice bed. A very modern hotel with a good traditional Chamonix touch. Perfect location, right next to the bus station and the Aiguille du midi cable car. Supermarket around the corner. The self-helping coffee bar at the lobby was very helping.
Staff were very friendly and the hotel is great given the price you're paying. It also has a kitchen which really helps keep costs down in Chamonix. Remember to bring a sleeping bag or liner if you don't want to have to pay extra for linen.
The location is great and also the view from the window. The Hotel Le Chamonix is one of the oldest hotel owned by this property and so don't expect a new room and building. The breakfast is good and the employees are kind as well.
We booked the hotel for a week’s skiing in Chamonix, love this hotel for its great location, convenient facilities (great free spa) and nice room view. Breakfast is totally beyond my expectations, totally worth the money for it.
Location! Right at the Chamonix train station and one of the main lively streets. The hotel itself has a taste of France. Great breakfast sitting on the street.
