Set amongst mature trees and surrounded by the Southern Alps, this beautifully restored local landmark has been transformed into a resort with outdoor swimming pool, tennis and petanque courts.

The Hot Pools are a great drawcard, always popular. Some great restaurants, cafes and bars. Lots of trees, provide welcome shade in summer. Plenty of walking and cycling tracks. Water sports - rafting, jet boats, fishing etc. Craft market on a Saturday. Always a busy place for locals and tourists, so book early.

The Mountain View’s were beautiful and the walking track...
The Mountain View’s were beautiful and the walking track varied from easy to difficult. The town was very pleasant, clean and well taken care of. The pools were wonderful and especially enjoyed being able to swim laps in the big pool which was never crowded. Overall it was a very pleasant place for a vacation

Hanmer Springs is lovely.
Hanmer Springs is lovely. This motel overpriced, cheap and nasty. False advertising using "premium".
Hanmer is popular but don't resort to booking at this motel if you find others booked out.

Nice small village with plenty to do.
Nice small village with plenty to do. Many walking and bike trails, nice shops and the Thermal pools were great for all ages. Plenty to keep families amused.
The whole town had a nice vib.
The down side would have to be the cost of eating out at the cafes and restaurants.

Great thermal pools.
Great thermal pools. My wife booked had two sessions in the spa rooms - a facial and a massage - while she was doing that I ventured on the new waterslides (at the age of 71) - they are now included in your admission charge. As we we were staying for two nights, we booked a two day ticket to the pools, this is good value and it's great to be able to pop to the pools early in the morning when there are fewer people around.
One evening we had a good meal at the Hanmer Springs Hotel (where we stayed), the second night we tried the Spice Village Indian restaurant, which I thoroughly recommend.
Great lunch one day at the Powerhouse cafe - by far the best cafe in Hanmer in my opinion.
We also went on the quad bikes at Hanmer Attractons - we were able to choose a quad buggy which is a two-person vehicle. This is well organised, with an instructor/guide who puts the emphasis on safety.
Comfortable suite with a terrace facing really pretty gardens and the mountains beyond. Comfy king bed. Huge bathroom supplied with lots of towels and toiletries. Some cooking facilities. Microwave, kettle, toaster, dishes, cutlery.
Quite clean and efficient. Walking distance to town and hot pools. Hanmer Springs is a sweet town with lots of nice restaurants, bars and shopping. Access to hiking is fabulous. We did Mt Isobel... gorgeous views!! The information centre is very helpful. Definitely would recommend that you stay here.
Settlers Boutique Motel was one of the best motels that we stayed in during our 2 and a half week road trip. The unit was very spacious and it was beautifully presented and clean with some special little touches like chocolates on the bed. The unit was quiet and had its own little courtyard. We really appreciated having an allocated car parking space right next to the unit. There was a free dvd library, and free towel loan to use at the nearby pools. This was definitely our favourite place to stay during our trip.
This is one of the best motels we have stayed in. From the moment we arrived the hosts made us welcome and pointed us in the direction of local things to do which was very helpful. They upgraded us to a superb suite with great views and lots of space. Very comfortable bed and a great wet floor shower. We will definitely stay there again. It was on;y a five minute walk to the hot pools, cafes and restaurants. We were able to park our car and walk for our three day stay.
Lovely modern and comfortable accommodation in park-like grounds. The owners are super nice people who make you feel at home and will go out of their way to be helpful. I liked it so much that I came back for a few more nights. I've stayed in 3 other Hanmer Springs hotels/motels previously and this is my favourite. Also the best value for money.
Beautiful lodge set on the hill with an amazing view of Hanmer village and basin. Our room was very comfortable and offered lovely views of the manicured gardens with the birds frequenting the birdhouses below our deck off our room. Breakfast was excellent and our hosts were very welcoming. We highly recommend 8 on Oregon!!
Very private, awesome host and hostess, made you feel at home, very comfortable bedroom and ensuite fulfilling all our needs. Very generous, yummy breakfast, parking availability and a nice quiet location. Highly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Hanmer Springs
The locations was superb. Hanmer springs isn’t very large, but this is right in the thick of the township. Walking distance to everything.
The hotel looks very grand from the front and the gardens are nice.
The garden villas look like the place to book here.
These are the best Motels we have stayed at in Hanmer, We have stayed there before. Always feels welcome and they provide a good service. We do like being able to grab towels for the hot pools - this saves us trying to dry our own overnight
Our room was so spacious and relaxing, it exceeded our expectations. We loved our outdoor spa tub which had the most perfect views over towards Hanmer and the mountains beyond. The meals at the restaurant were incredible too.
Lovely heritage hotel in the heart of Hanmer. The beds were so comfortable. Had a jug and tea and coffee facilities plus a small fridge. Basic continental breakfast was ok and appreciated. View from the window was amazing.
We've stayed here before and it's wonderful! Quiet, as on the opposite side of town from most hotels/motels, beautifully appointed with everything you could want AND DOGS! Perfect for couples or families.
It was our 1st time staying here, it is a beautiful camp site, with great cabins and camping facilities. The management is fantastic and so very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back!!
Very enjoyable stay. Room was extremely comfortable, wonderful breakfast spread, good location at a short drive/long walk into town. Would stay here again if traveling to Hanmer Springs.
The hotel management is very nice
Our room been having lights on and heater on when we arrived, it’s cold now in the night time in winter
So we’re very happy and thankful with that
Comfy bed and good facilities in a really big room, really appreciated the microwave and kitchenware. Bed was comfy and location was great for Hanmer Springs
