We were down for a funeral so did not get time to explore what was on offer. However we did travel to the waterways and went for dinner with the family and friends who came to the funeral. Lost Springs was the venue which I can imagine would be a very busy place due to the geo thermal spa and restaurant setup they have. Next time we will do the tourist thing which we are very good at!

We really enjoyed our 1 night stay at this gem of a place, set in a lush forest. The surroundings were idyllic, with beautiful vistas over Whitianga town and beach. The bed was superb and breakfast was amazing - more than we could eat with more than 6 types of fruit, yoghurt, bacon & eggs, and mushrooms and tomatoes, toast...... We've never seen such a variety of teas and coffee on offer! Wish we had had more than 1 night to enjoy Beverley and Dave's wonderful hospitality. 10 out of 10!!

We joined a cruise to the Cathedral Cove from Whitianga.
We joined a cruise to the Cathedral Cove from Whitianga. It was very nice and enjoyable. The beach was scenic. It is a small town but with 2 big supermarkets where we can buy fresh local food.
It is a long drive from Auckland. It would be easier if there is car ferry from Auckland east to the Coromandel pennisula.

Whitianga is a beautiful place especially the area we stayed in being surrounded by the beach. Everything is close by in walking distance. What a bonus. The people are lovely and friendly. We tried the Slice slice baby - pizza place because we seen a lot of people going in and out and now we know why! We also had fish and chips from the shop just next to the pizza and by far the best fish and chips I've had. Fresh and tasty.

Amazing property & location, better than any 5 star resort! The breakfast was very culinary and Don & Heather are outstanding hosts! The views during breakfast were incredible! The room we stayed in was super clean had all amenities with very nice thoughtful touches to make us fee like home. We even had our own garden with the coolest garden furniture! Ability to use the washer & dryer was very much appreciated. Highly recommend this property! We felt very welcomed!
Staff were amazing, super friendly & welcoming during our entire stay, they even gifted a nice bottle of wine for my mums birthday. The bed I slept in was absolute luxury for my spine injury, nice n firm mattress. Everything was spotless clean. Washing/Drying facilities were very handy. The heated pool and spa are awesome, espeically at night time. Nice view of the yatchs from our patio area, and a quick 5min stroll to the nearby restaurants n cafe's.
Great location with spectacular views of the bay from the bedroom, pool or breakfast/lounge area. Spa Pool is awesome with stunning night or day views. Room is comfortable, with all necessities and heaps of luxury supplies. David is a master at hosting and makes guests feel absolutely welcome, with friendly chats and tons of activity, dining and entertainment recommendations. Privacy was never an issue when we needed it.
Everything was just so immaculate. I felt like I was staying at a 5 star hotel, yet it was much more homely than that.
The breakfast was fantastic, I had bacon and eggs tomato and mushroom and toast there was lots of it and cooked to perfection. The hosts were so helpful, friendly and had interesting and informative conversation. I dont think I have had a better overnight stay before!
Perfect luxury rainforest retreat: lovely secluded but only a short drive away from the Coromandel East Coast highlights. Lots of things to do on the property for a relaxing day (rainforest walks, hammocks by the river, rainforest bubbel bath, skygazing spa, glow worm night walk, ...) Delicious breakfast with lots of local and home made produce.
Went for anniversary. Have gone every year the past several years. Secret entrance to lost springs spa, easy 3 minute walk. Staggering distance to town for drinks after. Lovely staff, amazing rooms especially the ocean view apartments. Well worth a visit. One of THE best places to stay in Whiti
Evolve Bach was a lovely place to stay during our visit to Whitianga. We walked everywhere we needed, grocery, laundry mat, restaurants and more. It was an easy drive to Hot Water Beach and Cathedral Cove. Our host was responsive to inquiries and made our stay most enjoyable.
Very friendly hosts and the view was to incredible, straight out across the bay at Buffalo Beach. So clean and wonderful bed. Went to sleep with the sound of the waves lulling me...This is our second stay and it will always be our choice when we visit Whitianga.
