It's one of the lesser attractive hanseatic cities but they always try to offer more. If you go there, expect little. I would recommend to visit Stralsund for slow travelling. One or two relaxing days are enough to enjoy the city and your life. This is what Stralsund is giving. Most activities, restaurants and visitors are in the old town. You can take every public transport quickly to get down town. The biggest tip is the Ozeanum which has its own bus station.

Stralsund is a nice large city with a harbour and beautiful old town. Compared to the other cities we visited in North Germany it was the one with the most entertainment and good stores. I do recommend it for a two day stay

Poor tourist information on the town and on the Internet.
Poor tourist information on the town and on the Internet. The accommodation provided no brochures and there was nothing at the railway station where most people arrive. Rugen is very close but there was nothing to help getting around it.
We had at first a reservation in another Aparthotel and it was recommended from the stuff to change to this one, without changing the price. It was an extremely helpful recommendation as this apartment was totally suitable for is, because we had 2 small children and a stroller. Easy to access, with a closed yard, it was very suitable for us. Very clean and it has everything a family needs.
Nice hotel in a great location overlooking the harbour. Comfortable room had everything we needed. Helpful and friendly staff even helped carry bags up to our room (old building so no lift ☹️) No parking at the hotel but a loading zone next door meant bags could be unloaded for check in. Parking was located a short drive away and wasn’t expensive.
Enjoyed our stay here.
A perfect hotel for introverts 😉 there is no reception and the self-check in is super easy. Location is super convenient and even though they do not have their own car park, there is a Parkplaz just few steps away. The room was big with comfortable bed and had a kitchen with a fridge and a balcony. It was quiet. Will definitely come back in the future!!
The location, and the nearby parking at a reduced rate were both good reasons why we chose to stay at this property. Stralsund had a special event with Military re-enactments taking place throughout the city during our stay, and many of the participants were staying here also, so we were able to learn more about the event during breakfast conversations.
A bus ride from Stralsund town, but right across from the Stortebecker brewery and delicious dinner at the Stortebecker Gastehaus. Our room at the pension was attractively decorated, and the breakfast was the best food we had in two weeks in Germany. Much care was taken to anticipate and provide for whatever guests might want
We stayed in the "Superior Double Room" with the sea view, which also has a huge balcony. It was an amazing experience for us. The hotel is located close to the harbor and Ozeaneum and lots of different restaurants. The room was clean and well furnished. We definitely will stay here again next time.
Charming small hotel in the maritime part of Stralsund. You are responsible for locking and closing the hotel part when you are not there, a bit tricky with the doors, but it adds to the holiday feeling.
