The Grüner's made us feel very welcomed with all the check in & out processes made very simple, they also made some great dinner recommendations. The room was very comfortable, the right mix of modern with traditional trimmings. The hotel was extremely clean and comfortable. The facilities were all in exceptional order and the hotel was a stones throw away from the ski shop (which managed to service my skis in less than an hour!). The button lift (Wiesenlift) was a 2 minute walk and allowed access to the ski area. The breakfast was an incredible platform for the day of skiing. There were many options for all diet variations & we loved the sparkling water tap. We will be recommending to friends.
Set in Obergurgl, Hotel Grünerhof offers 4-star accommodation with a garden, a terrace and a restaurant. The hotel offers both free WiFi and free private parking.

Lovely resort with great ski conditions even in April.
Lovely resort with great ski conditions even in April. Not many runs/areas for complete beginners though. Hired ski equipment from scheiber. Great quality and shop very organised. Small resort so easy to get around. Would recommend staying as close to town as possible. Most hotels provide food but there are some nice options in town. Pizza Pic Nic was nice with lovely large pizzas.
Free bus service to and from Hochgurgl.

A high resort, at which you can be assured of good snow conditions, even late in the season. A good variety of runs to suit all abilities. There are plenty of hotels and pensions for people of all ages, although would not suit the younger set who are more interested in nightlife. (Which is what appeals to us!) The resort has two grocery shops, a bakery and a few shops and restaurants. We found it a safe and friendly environment and were most impressed with the ski school, where our 3 year old grandson got his first taste of skiing in a separate, safe and fun environment. Parking is sadly no longer free in the main Obergürgl car park, although still is at the Hochgurgl lift area. The aprés ski at the Neder Hutte is the best, with live music, dancing on the tables and a wonderful atmosphere.

This area is so easy to access via public transport. The door to door ski hire service was also appreciated. We went to the IceQ for lunch which was fantastic. This is our tenth time visiting this area.

The friendly helpful staff were a standout of the hotel.
The friendly helpful staff were a standout of the hotel. The food ( dinner and breakfast) were superb, and the wide selection of substantial ’snacks’ at 3 pm was a real bonus. The snow was great- nice walking for non skiers as well.

Great ski resort for beginners and intermediates.
Great ski resort for beginners and intermediates. Experts should know the blacks are pisted and the lift system is exposed to wind, which can result in alpine lift closures. Great little ski resort and I wouldn't hesitate to take my family. Good ski school too a d great value.

Obergurgl is great for a lover of hiking.
Obergurgl is great for a lover of hiking. No idea what is like in winter, I only stayed twice in summer. One could easily spend a number of days for hiking. There are a number of lifts for those who do not want to do all the climbs themselves and once of the highlights, one can find all the calm and quiet that may be preferred if you like so.
Friendly and lovely staff at the hotel, well-equipped very spacious apartment with lots of storage space, exceptionally clean, good strong shower, separate bathroom and WC was really helpful for 4 people in the morning, was great being able to store skis/boots at the hotel instead of the apartment as this was closer to the main ski lifts, hotel staff helped with any tiny request we had (replaced our broken kettle immediately and called a taxi for us when we needed one)
Everything. This facility is at a Great location with proximity to Obergurgl ski lift, restaurants, grocery store, local shops, and the bus line to Sölden and rest of the valley. The delicious breakfast was wonderfully prepared, presented, and served. The hospitable staff welcomed us despite our earlier than expected arrival. The modern facilities were warm, clean, and quietly comfortable. The ski equipment room was handy and comfortable.
We had a very warm welcome when we arrived and had a very lovely apartment with everything we could need. The breakfast was good and plentiful and would have had something for every taste. Staff were friendly and the rooms were cleaned spotlessly by the time we returned from
Breakfast each day. Location wise the hotel is right next to the main walking areas in Obergurgl so access was very easy.
The room was very spacious and well equipped. We enjoyed the outdoor pool and sauna and the pool table was appreciated.
They had a juicer at the breakfast buffet which you could use to make your fresh juices everyday, very nice.
The ski room was right at the hotel and conveniently connected to the rental shop. When you walked out you were directly next to the gondula. Very convenient.
Very clean and comfortable (if a bit dated) rooms and bathrooms. Good, typical Austrian breakfast. Generally quick wifi. Nice (small) balconies. And a very nice area downstairs to store skis/boots/etc. The staff is exceptionally helpful. Some speak fairly proficient English. Others prefer German (but will try English if need be).
Welcoming attentive staff, beautiful and clean hotel, perfect location for skiing. The spa was gorgeous.
Really nice restaurant for breakfast and dinner. We loved every minute and will be back!
