It was nice stay in Mango Tree Homestay. The place is little far off from Hospet but really close to the archeological sites of Hampi. Also if you wany a quite stay in a homely environment it is the perfect place to be. The owner also helps with necessary tips and arrangements for sightseeing. Homemade breakfast and coffee we really liked most. The restaurant facility of the owner although Vegetarian but of really good quality.

It is a good city for tourism. but the infrastructure lacks sufficiency. Very few good 3 star hotels, and Restaurants. hence they are expensive and not easily available. Be careful, if you are planning for your own vehicle, because the traffic here is hardly called regulated. very haphazard, and risky. Still it is more than worth visiting Hospet, because of Hampi and T B Dam & Park, Pampa Vana etc as a tourist.
Although I live in Bangalore, I frequently travel their, because I belong to neighboring towns.

Great place to stay.
Great place to stay. Tungabadra Dam is a great place to visit in Hospet. You have multiple view points of the dam, backwaters, gates. Lovely park near the dam to enjoy your evening. Light show is good. Good time to visit during monsoon when the dam gates are open. It is a magnificiant view to see the water rushing out of the dam.
World famous heritage Site Hampi is close to Hospet. Hampi is a place of architecutural wonder and the sculputres, temples, ruins, palace area is a must see place. You need at least 2 days to see these wondering artistic ruins. Hapi has a rich heritage and grand history. Do take guide services so that you can get to know the place better. Do not miss to see stone chariot which is also printed on backside of our new 50 rupee note.

Hospet city is very nice and comfortable and approachable by road and rail. Tungabhadra dam is the main attraction here. It is the closest city destination for tourists stay and visit Hampi. Lot of hotels with dining and lodging in all categories available at Hospet. Approx 13 Km distance from Hospet to Archaeological ruins at Hampi.

For comfortable stay, you can expect very good stay option in hospet and also it gives variety of food options than hampi which is applicable for backpackers only, also hampi provides OK OK food.
At hospet I would also suggest " Sai tiffins" for amazing breakfast.
The facility is located at quite a distance from the main archeological sites and one has to travel 20+ km. However there are many other attractions close by- Tungabhadra Dam, Sanapur lake, Shacks etc. That way this is property is value for money. The staff is good and very helpful and the hotel itself is located at a scenic place. The rooms are comfortable and most facilities including a bar is available
The stay exceeded our expectations. Spacious room with a very cute balcony and terrace. And the cherry on top was the two brothers who run the homestay. They are super sweet and helpful and helped us in even making our itinerary for 3 days of stay. They also run an auto service and managed to take us to almost each and every place in and around Hampi. Enjoyed our trip in Hampi to the fullest.
Good budget hotel to stay at if you have a late or early travel from Hospet since it's so close to the train station and bus station. You can also visit Hampi from here by grabbing the local bus, but I'd recommend staying closer to Hampi for a better experience.
Hotel building was actually pretty good given the low price.
The location from the hospet station mentioned on website is 4 KM but actually 25 KM. It is very far from Hospet city. If any one want to travel to Hampi take the hotels near by the railway station of Hosepet. There is no any travel aid from Hotel also like pick and drop facility.
A very nice hostel in so-called New Hampi. A very friendly family to stay with. Nice room with all the necessary amenities. They also found me a driver for pickup from the train station and to go see Hampi. The breakfast was also very nice.
Very friendly and the home stay was clean and well maintained. Definitely recommend to also eat the food here, it was very economical and was super tasty. Since it's in between Hampi and Hospet, it was very convenient for us to travel.
This is located in new hampi, Really good place where you can stay bit far from actual place, by any how you have to use local transportation to sightseeing so no issue to stay here and chill, happy with rooms.
The apartment is huge and clean, and the ladies are very welcoming and nice. They allowed us to check-in really early. Ii is a quiet area of the village and we slept very well there and felt like home.
Positives: Centrally located in Hospet, in-house restaurants(separate veg & non-veg), safe parking facility, good hospitality, buffet breakfast, neat swimming pool, hampi guide & travel services.
The food was good, the rooms are average, they're charging too much and providing worse rooms than a 2 star. The hotel is close to the railway station and 30km from Hampi.
