This town is so beautiful and I was properly amazed by it.
This town is so beautiful and I was properly amazed by it. It has beautiful architecture, lots of history and places to go, and friendly people everywhere. I loved visiting the Dikke Toren or Sint-Lievensmonstertoren (a monumental tower) and the museum. We had dinner at Casa do Carlos and slept at B&B de Schuur which I can both highly recommend.

The whole central of this old town is a delight, as there are plenty of attractions and sights all located within a short walking distance.
The tourist information offers a walking route of the town, showing all the delights of Zieriksee. For cultural lovers there are a few museums definitely worth a visit.
There is a large choice of local restaurants to suit all tastes, cafes and a wine bar, as well as ice-cream parlours and even a fish and chip shop.
For those who enjoy shopping, there are plenty of boutiques and galleries to tempt you.
You can hire bicycles for under 10 Euros per day, which is a great idea for exploring the local area.

So picturesque. Sort of feels like you're walking along in a story-book. The whole town is beautiful, with a gorgeous or interesting building to see around every corner.
Filled with great restaurants, interesting shops and galleries, there's plenty to see and do.
Walking and wandering is very easy, very enjoyable. Zierikzee has quite a special vibe to it, highly recommend, including the very friendly residents.

Relaxed friendly atmosphere.
Relaxed friendly atmosphere. Evening nightlife seemed to be restricted to De Gekroonde Suikerbiet. But this was found to be very friendly with excellent food and drink options.
The Tapas Bar was also very good.........we had a mixed meat for 2. you have to be hungry.
The cobbled streets seem endless with a treat for the tourist around every bend, beware you're in Holland every corner also has a bike heading your way.

Zierikzee is beautiful. The people are very friendly.
Zierikzee is beautiful. The people are very friendly. We enjoyed the architecture and the restaurants/lunchrooms. Especially Roekoekoe and De Zeeuwse Hemel. There are some second hand shops and the houses and shops are very stylish decorated. All four of us fell in love with Zierikzee.
The room was spacious and the furnishings and decor were of a high quality. Due to the very restricted parking you have to use a public car park but there is a free one very close by. The hotel is near the centre of town and the shorts walks to the centre are very pleasant as is the town. The breakfast was excellent with a varied buffet and hot dishes made to order. The room rate was very reasonable for August. The restaurant is also open for dinner and the food is excellent but is run as a separate business.
Wonderful small hotel with very nice rooms! Modern bathroom with a window, comfortable bed and fresh flowers in the room. I instantly felt at home and am sorry to have only spent one night here! Zierikzee itself is gorgeous as well. Breakfast was vegetarian with fresh bread from the house bakery, fresh fruit and veggies. Had a lovely dinner at the restaurant as well. Bonus is the cat Ollie roaming the house and garden - maybe good to know in case someone is allergic to cats. Would return anytime!
The location couldn't be better, in the center of Zierikzee and with a wonderful view on the water. We rented the apartment on the ground floor: it's spacious and comfortable with enough privacy. The apartment is modern though many details of the old building have been retained which we much appreciated. The owner was very friendly and showed us the top apartment which was vacant on the day we left.
Renovated downstairs area of an old hotel, only about 300m from town centre. All the facilities are modern & spacious - longe dining kitchenette in front room, bedroom down the hall, then bathroom, laundry & separate toilet - separate entry via locked box was easy. We stayed on a Saturday night & again on Tuesday night - it was quiet at night.
Fantastic hotel at a great location in Zierikzee. We enjoyed the Duiveland suite very much. Super spacious, with a comfortable bed and a separate living room, small kitchen and private outdoor terrace. Peaceful spot and everything in Zierikzee was just a small walk away (< 15 mins). Breakfast buffet was excellent as well. Highly recommended!
Well done combination of a beautiful historic building with modern extension where the hotel rooms are located, perfect location at the old harbour.
Superb gastronomique restaurant with excellent service, don't miss it
Modern and calm rooms, comfortable beds, good breakfast.
Perfect location for a weekend in Zeeland.
The location is great, in the cosy city center of Zierikzee! Also, the accommodation has a pretty nice view on the old port and there is a nice restaurant just next door. The bathroom and kitchen were recently renovated and quite clean.
Very friendly hostess, clear concise explanation and not intrusive. Attractive room in a very beautiful canal house in the old city center of Zierikzee. Good bed, nice shower, quiet, delicious breakfast: nothing to complain about
It’s right in a nice neighborhood in Zierikzee. You can leave your car at the private parking spot and walk to every nice spot in the beautiful city. Spotless place and great hospitality. Perfect!
Great breakfast with plenty of choice; Right in the center of Zierikzee. Rooms are nicely done. Good bar and restaurant (although we did not use the restaurant, only for breakfast).
