This boutique guest house is fantastic, located in front of the Samabe lake. This is such a peaceful, relaxing and quiet environment. A real paradise for all nature lovers - located just a few minutes away from Dambulla center. For now, there are only 2 cottages in the property. So basically the stay is very private (no noise around). The cottage size is very good with a terrace from where you can enjoy the view of the lake. The personnel is very friendly - and insisted to invite me for a lovely boat tour on the lake for free. Surprisingly there was no mosquito in the cottage whereas we could think that there might be due to the proximity of the lake. The WiFi was working very fine. All was perfect. From this place, i did visit Dambulla (e.g Golden temple) and its surroundings- up to Habarana for a half a day safari (mainly elephants spotted) in the national park of Minneriya/Eco lodge. Spent 2 wonderful nights …and wish I would have more time to stay more !
Evergreen situated 5 km from Rangiri Dambulla Cave Temple, and 10 km to sigiriya rock. The property features free Wi-Fi access, free private parking and free transportation from Hotel to Dambulla.

During my stay, I loved my room with its high ceilings and balcony where Doggo Tuppy naps every afternoon. It's amazing how cool and comfortable the room felt with the strong fan despite the hot weather in Dambulla during April and May.
The food and working area was perfect for me as a co-working space, especially in the mornings and evenings. Super aesthetic views!
One of the most pleasant surprises of this trip was Api's hospitality. He shared his insights and experiences of doing business in Sri Lanka, and he even went out of his way to pick me up from my previous hostel, which was easily 15km away. Additionally, he drove me to the bus station at 3:30 am, all free of charge. ( Oh! And the trip to this aruyvedic massage place which was the best massage I've had in SL). Your hospitality is top-notch, Api!

All the sites were wonderful - Sigiriya (the rock), Dambulla Caves (Amazing - especially cave #2), Polonnaruwa (Ancient City), Elephant Safari saw 40 to 50 elephants - Mothers and their children on a ridge at the very end of the safari! It was a great day to be able to see that many in the game reserve all together. I would spend minimum 3 but really 4 nights up here as the travel day really doesn't count because you aren't running out to see anything until the next day, so this way you have 3 full days to see all the sites and it isn't rushed. Also, you go out early in the morning as it gets too bloody hot in the middle of the day.

Dambulla is a great place to explore, especially if you are a nature lover. Lots of greenery is preserved amidst the cave temples. Frescos at the Dambulla cave temple are amazingly beautiful. Inside the caves are cold though the outside temperature is steaming hot in the summer.
Sigiriya rock is another attraction near Dambulla. It will take a half a day tour to climb up and down but if you want to explore more, the area surrounding the Sigiriya rock garden is vast and can wonder around the rock garden and historical ruins for hours. Good for hikers.
Ibbankatuwa ancient grave yard, Pidurangala (A rock with nice view at the top, situated parallel to Sigiriya Rock are some of other nearby attractions.

First of all we would like to thank the owner and the management for giving us the opportunity to stay at this beautiful resort.
Colin and Ajit did a wonderful job of looking after us
They are hard working, sincere and committed in their work.
Few things that need to be sorted out were the overgrown creeper in the front which is preventing sunlight from entering the front of the house.
Lighting in the room and bathroom need to be brighter. A stronger Wi-Fi would be welcome
Overall an enjoyable stay
Hope to visit again
Regards
A very generously proportioned room, very clean with a fridge and a large balcony. Nice, helpful staff. The hotel is in the centre of Dambulla so it is easy to acquire taxi’s etc. to take you to all of the attractions at a fairly low cost. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel for the budget traveller. The bus stop is right outside the hotel. You can also easily get a tuktuk to nice restaurants on the outskirts of the city, the bakery below the hotel is also nice.
Lovely family run hotel in beautiful peaceful setting but still a short walk to town. Host was very kind. Drove us to Royal Caves nearby and organised a tuk tuk to sigirya. Room was spacious. Beds very comfortable. Lovely outdoor area with tables for breakfast and relaxing. Breakfast was very good. Big plate of fresh fruit plus bread and a Sri Lankan favourite- a kind of coconut and honey pasty. Wifi great. Great value for money.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. I actually went there for a business trip and my guests and co-workers were so impressed. The hotel location was a major plus point. The hotel rooms are quiet and peaceful and the food was amazing.
The hotel is located very conveniently close to the main Dambulla bus stand and in close proximity to the town if you want to head to a supermarket or grab some food. The staff were very helpful, the facilities worked very well. The toilets and the rooms were very clean and had amenities such as hot water, shower gels and shampoo. It was definitely a value for money stay.
The hotel is located in the heart of Dambulla city conveniently close to the Kurunegala-Dambulla road. Rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. The food was tasty and severed hot and the portions were good and also reasonably priced. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Although it is in the heart of the city very relaxed setup. Overall, its great value for money.
It was a wonderful place to stay, in a beautiful location and very close to visit the Dambulla Cave temples. We arrived in the evening and were warmly welcomed by the hosts who also arranged us a tasty dinner on our first night. I couldn’t recommend this place enough! It was the first night of our honeymoon in Sri Lanka and it was a perfect welcome to the country
Good location near Golden Temple in Dambulla
We were traveling from Negombo to Sigiria with a plan spend a night in Dambulla. Host was kind and agreed us to drop our beckpacks before check in (we drop them around 10am). We also had good traditional Sri Lanka rice&curry dinner in this place, it was tasty.
Overall: good price vs value, we enjoyed our stay here
Had an amazing time here, I got myself hospitalized on my first night in Dambulla and the owner was EXTREMELY helpful and hospitable. Consequently I cannot recommend this place anything more than extremely strongly.
It's definitely a nice, affordable place. Could not complain about the location. Host is good to chat with and I found him to be very generous.
The room was super clean and the staff very very friendly. We arrived late (11 pm) and they were here opening the door for us. The host waited for us. And the next morning, he brings us to visit Sigirya. It's not the king of quick visit, he gave us a while tour visit!
I definitely recommend this hotel!
Amazing owners with open heart - they even helped us to organize our stay in Dambulla (safari and a little sights recommended). The location is superb. The breakfast and dinner is a must - best examples of Sri Lankan food. We had fantastic time chatting with the owners on the terrace.
The best hotel we had at Sri Lanka. Amazing and very helpful hosts. The room was very clean and spacious. There was also a small kitchen with a sink and fridge. A hair dryer was available in the room.
The hotel is located in the center of Dambulla. Very close to shops.
We were served with passion juice once we reached. Lucky...the hotel manager was so friendly. He help me on my trip plan. He also give some suggestion to it. The hotel just infront of the Dambulla bus station
The host is very helpful. The resort is very nice. Dambulla Cave temple is very near to the resort. Breakfrist is nice.:The host help us about our tour, about arrange taxi and good resturent.
This is a beautiful, new hotel with great food and friendly staff! The stay was quiet, clean and a great location. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Sri Lanka
The hospitality of the owners was superb. The breakfast was mindblowing. We enjoyed staying there. We would highly recommend anyone visiting Dambulla to stay there.
The staff were exceptional. Food was great. Hotel was secluded and lovely. We ended up cancelling another hotel and extending our stay here. Much needed r&r time.
Loved this hotel great staff and good amenities
Pool was ace - good was fantastic esp the burgers ! Really healthy sized portions best we’ve had in Sri Lanka
