Fantastic little campsite in the middle of the Sri Lankan bush, only accessible by 4WD. Head in here and feel the serenity. With just the two tents it's a small, perfectly formed operation run by the wonderful host Nero, who not only looks after your every need but whips up amazing meals in his little camp kitchen, served on a table under the stars, with a bonfire to complete the magic.

The hotel was stunning, the room was large with a/c and beautiful view towards the pool and beyond.
All the staff were immaculate, so friendly and courteous to us. They cook our meals to order, so fresh and delicious. They even prepared a packed breakfast for our early morning safari and waited with us till our jeep arrived. Absolutely recommended this beauty. Thank you.

Rooms were outstanding - spacious and felt like a home away from home. Beautiful pool. Staff delightful and went out of their way to help. The hotel organised two safaris for us. Food and drinks also extremely tasty.

The location of the hotel was stunning and very peaceful. Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant upstairs were delicious. A breakfast package was prepared for us which was great for the day we had safari starting at 5am although tea/coffee and snacks were also available from 5am in the bar for early risers.

When going on safari vacations, I prefer to stay at places which are well integrated with nature. This place is simple, totally in nature with all the basic amenities that you need. To top it off, the staff is very very supportive. I was not keeping well and they went out of their way to help me. Many thanks.

We booked all inclusive and we really got to see the true meaning for all inclusive. Food was simply superb. Cocoon rooms were very beautifull and really wud love to spend another day. Check in smooth like i havent seen before and got the room ahead of check in time which i really liked as it was hot. Overall the surrpundings beach area and pool area were amazing to spend time
Chathuka contacted us ahead of time and arranged everything as planned and as per out watsapp chats. All the staff were very humble and very nice looking to make us happy and comortable

We visited Yala for two days (with two separate game drives...
We visited Yala for two days (with two separate game drives - one evening and one morning one) and although we enjoyed the animals we observed, we did not have any sightings of leopards despite being the national park with the highest concentration in the world. But that is nature so we were just unlucky on those days. However, the most disappointing aspect of Yala was the sheer number of vehicles allowed into the park at one time. As soon as elephants or leopards are sighted, drivers communicate among themselves and vehicles all rush to the scene creating a massive traffic jams. This makes it feel very mass market and doesn’t seem very respectful of the wildlifeSandra - 4.0Scored 4.0

Terrible time. No wild animals as expected. Roads are all around the jungle which is pretty disturbing to the wild life. After all it is supposed to be a protected zone for wild life. I loved Yala.
I loved Yala. The number of different animals seen was slightly disappointing but apparently wash outs due to rain prevented us from accessing some internal roads. The national park in Yala is beautiful however it is hard to drive around as the roads are poorly maintained. There is a large populatin of birds and i think this safari would suit bird watchers more than those who want to see the elephants. The 6am -6pm safari is too long. Sigiriya is far superior when it comes to large herds of elephants.

The hike in the nature reserve was amazing, we saw lots of amazing animals and landscapes. Were lucky and we were able to meet the tiger as well. It is important to note that the trip should take drinks and food, the hotel staff where we were did not tell us the length of the trip and did not make sure to let us know that we should take care of ourselves. Of course we were smarter and brought with us the necessary equipment .. But there were those next to us who did not and that was unfortunate

We stayed at Laya Beach resort which was very beautiful and was very close to our safari's which made our stay even better. The beach, however, was too rough to swim which was a little disappointing.

As this is a small hotel (only 3 rooms), we were the only guests (we booked 2 rooms here). Everything looks like new, there’s a nice pool zone, you can reach beach on foot (takes less than 10 minutes). The staff was amazing and we couldn’t imagine a better service. They prepared a lunch box for our 5AM Yala safari tour. We also had lunch and dinner here - the food was amazing and the portions were huge. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who considers having a safari at Yala national park!

Because of that, you can also see a lot of wild animals walking around the hotel’s lake - saw elephants, buffalos, and lots of birds and crocodiles. The bar, restaurant and pool area comfortable, spacious and a nice place to spend some time. The bedrooms are really good and clean. The staff are if anything a little too attentive, however all with good intentions and everyone was friendly and nice.
