Fantastic little campsite in the middle of the Sri Lankan bush, only accessible by 4WD. Head in here and feel the serenity. With just the two tents it's a small, perfectly formed operation run by the wonderful host Nero, who not only looks after your every need but whips up amazing meals in his little camp kitchen, served on a table under the stars, with a bonfire to complete the magic.

The hotel was stunning, the room was large with a/c and beautiful view towards the pool and beyond. All the staff were immaculate, so friendly and courteous to us. Jetwing Yala, hotel in Yala

Spread across 38 acres of land, Jetwing Yala features an outdoor pool, a business centre and luxurious rooms located on the borders of Yala National Park.

The hotel was excellent. The pool like all the pools was very hot, not refreshing but huge and good to get wet and let the breeze slightly cool you down.

Yakaduru - Yala, hotel in Yala

Yakaduru Yala is located on the buffer Zone of Yala National Park. It's just 5 minutes away from the Yala National Park Entrance.

We loved our time at yakaduru. The place only has a few buildings so it had a really intimate feeling. It was right in amongst the national park and nature so you felt like you were really immersed. I don’t mind camping but hate bugs so had been a bit worried but the yakaduru team check your room every night and use a special smoke recipe to detract animals. The staff were so attentive and kind, would recommend this special place in a heartbeat.

We visited Yala for two days (with two separate game drives - one evening and one morning one) and although we enjoyed the animals we observed, we did not have any sightings of leopards despite being the national park with the highest concentration in the world. But that is nature so we were just unlucky on those days. However, the most disappointing aspect of Yala was the sheer number of vehicles allowed into the park at one time. As soon as elephants or leopards are sighted, drivers communicate among themselves and vehicles all rush to the scene creating a massive traffic jams. This makes it feel very mass market and doesn’t seem very respectful of the wildlife

Terrible time. No wild animals as expected.

Terrible time. No wild animals as expected. Roads are all around the jungle which is pretty disturbing to the wild life. After all it is supposed to be a protected zone for wild life. Jeeps are crawling every corner of the territory. Amused to see all of that disturbing scenes in a wild life protected zone. It's like business zone. Poor animals.

    I loved Yala.

I loved Yala. The number of different animals seen was slightly disappointing but apparently wash outs due to rain prevented us from accessing some internal roads. The sunrise and scenery were stunning. I would rate it as good value despite the lack of animals. The whole experience was wonderful.

The national park in Yala is beautiful however it is hard to drive around as the roads are poorly maintained. There is a large populatin of birds and i think this safari would suit bird watchers more than those who want to see the elephants. The 6am -6pm safari is too long. Sigiriya is far superior when it comes to large herds of elephants.

The hike in the nature reserve was amazing, we saw lots of amazing animals and landscapes. Were lucky and we were able to meet the tiger as well. It is important to note that the trip should take drinks and food, the hotel staff where we were did not tell us the length of the trip and did not make sure to let us know that we should take care of ourselves. Of course we were smarter and brought with us the necessary equipment .. But there were those next to us who did not and that was unfortunate

We stayed at Laya Beach resort which was very beautiful and was very close to our safari's which made our stay even better. The beach, however, was too rough to swim which was a little disappointing.

Very beautiful and special property, I close distance to Yala. I really enjoyed to stay here, the buildings are open structures, build from wood and palm tree leaves and furnished with amazing taste and sense for details. The food was great and the whole team took very good care of us, starting with a lot of helpful information during booking, exte Ding to the Safari and the stay. it’s a magical place and I would recommend to anybody that wants to visit Yala or just wants to enjoy some serene days

We had a high room with a nice view from our balcony, and could see for miles on the roof terrace. The room was spacious, comfortable, modern, well decorated, with a fridge and TV, and a lovely bathroom. Buddika welcomed us with refreshing drinks, organised a fantastic safari, and was a perfect host. Restaurants were within easy walking distance. I highly recommend staying here - we saw more more expensive options around Yala, but I doubt they were as good as the Blue Sky Hotel.

Leopard Nest in Yala offers a unique glamping experience amidst nature. The tents are spacious and well-equipped, providing comfort without losing the sense of adventure. The staff is attentive and the food is delicious, often featuring local cuisine. However, being close to wildlife means occasional encounters with insects and other creatures, so be prepared. Overall, it's a great option for those seeking a balance between luxury and the thrill of the outdoors.

We had an amazing stay at Cinnamon Wild Yala. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. we organised a safari through the hotel - our driver was very respectful of the animals and really knowledgeable. We were lucky enough to see a leopard as well as a whole host of other animals. It was probably one of favourite days in Sri Lanka. Amazing place to splash out and spend a few nights, especially if you are planning a safari in Yala.

One of the most unique and amazing properties I’ve been to in South Asia. Near the Yala National Park and having an amazing tour guides expect to see leopards elephants buffalos all types of birds and more… with an amazing staff super attentive, rooms to die for, clean spacious and fast WiFi. I will highly recommend this hotel for your stay on Yala. They even arranged for pick up at my Colombo hotel and back with a quick stop in Ella. It was wonderful trip

Udar awas an excellent host who took an interest in us and did everything he could to make our stay memorable. He took us to a local beach and showed us around. He also accompanied us as a guide on our Yala safari day after making all the arrangement for it. Breakfast and dinner were very good and more than enough. On the early start safari day, breakfast was packed for us to eat later. Very good wifi and the house is spacious and comfortable.

We loved our stay at Allure. From the moment we arrived, Ishan and the team really looked after us. The rooms and hotel in general are absolutely gorgeous. Huge comfy beds, lovely big bathrooms and private little pool areas. The location is great for visiting Yala National Park. It is really peaceful right by beautiful lake - we saw an amazing sunset from the rooftop one evening. It's one of the most memorable places we've ever stayed.

Amazing location, amazing staff and a fantastic experience not to be missed. Bandara looked after us so well, with so much help and kindness, it was very much appreciated. Dinesh was our safari guide and he was brilliant. We were so lucky to see the 'Big Three' - which by all accounts, never really happens. So blessed! The whole team were amazing and highly highly recommend. Food was outstanding, both at the hotel and on the tour.
