The breakfast was poorly served by already unmotivated fatigued staff who never cared about cleanliness of the tables after use by customers.

The place is absolutely amazing, very clean. Stephen, Ngala and Joseph are the best. They made us feel like we were home away from home despite it being a business trip.
The seafood meal chef Ngala prepared was better than any 5star restaurant we've dined at.
The breakfast by the pool was great as well.

I recently stayed at this fantastic villa in Malindi, and it was an incredible experience.
The staff were outstanding—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Their excellent service really made our stay special. The villa itself was beautiful, spacious, and well-maintained, with a stunning private pool and garden that added to the relaxing atmosphere.
The food was a highlight, with every meal being delicious and beautifully presented. We enjoyed a mix of local and international dishes, all made with fresh ingredients.
Having the entire resort to ourselves was a unique and wonderful bonus. It felt like our own private paradise, allowing us to fully unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Overall, it was a near-perfect getaway. We can't wait to return!

Easy town to move around. Not that many pedestrian walkways. From my last visit(2023) there is an upgrade though.
Need for more coffee places.
The beach areas could be more cleaner.
For coffee and lovely delicious snacks,go to Malaika restaurant opposite the Buntwani Beach Front.
Walking is the healthiest way to move around Malindi, just don't give a visual contact with the boda boda taxis( you will ride unwillingly!)
Avoid the Tikka chicken with coloured(yellow) spicing.

The information on Booking.com about Malindi is an accurate representation of what I found on site. I visited the following places:
Galana Shopping Centre
Vasco da Gama Pillar
Portuguese Chapel
Malindi Marine National Park.
I occasionally ate out from a wide range of restaurants in the city centre. It was quite easy to move around Malindi and I currently have no experience of places to avoid while in Malindi.

Laid back lifestyle, great beaches, wonderful Italian pizzas. Vasco Da Gama pillar and Portuguese chapel are right there. Museums need updating. Not a huge amount to do in Malindi but if you want to get out and about, Hell's Kitchen in Marafa is worth visiting. It is a mini mini Grand Canyon. Karibuni villas in Mambrui is also nice - clearest sea water you ever saw.
The compound was very well managed, with beautiful well cared gardens and breathtaking sights. We came during the rainy season and the cleanliness and maintenance exceeded our expectations.
The staff were really friendly and kind. I loved when Benard allowed us to check out late because our flights were delayed. Pools were very clean and perfect.
Location is superb. Less than 30 minutes drive to the airport, 3 minutes walk to the beach and just within Malindi town. We really enjoyed our stay. My kids loved the place
I like Malindi in general. But the fact that this is set within the same compound as Ocean Beach is the first big plus for me. I travelled alone but still got the group feeling by hanging by the pool area with other tourists. I had dinner on occasion in the hotel, which was quite convenient. Transport is there on demand. The town is literally 5 minutes away for AOBs. And the first floor setting gave me such a beautiful view of the compound. Great for solo and group travels.
Think twice before choosing a Resort/Hotel in Malindi.
The property is in a great, secluded, yet very safe location. It is surrounded by nature, steps from an International hospital, and many other pleasant characteristics.
The breathtaking structure and vast garden makes this guesthouse a one of a kind.
The most amazing thing it has been the great hospitality, the love, care and attentions of the host.
This is a hidden gem in Malindi. Highly suggested.
Amazing hotel with great rooms and facilities. All staff were super helpful, everyone within the hotel was trying to please us and make our stay comfortable and satisfying. Rooms are very spacious, pools are amazing, all beachbeds are super comfortable. Also there is an amazing music all over the hotel with a perfectly set volume and great selection of relaxing songs. This is one of the best hotel at the Kenyan cost. We will definitely come back.
Everything, from the reception to my departure. I was treated with care and respect. The staff are amazing especially the supervisor. She was helpful and knowledgeable. She organized my stay at the beach and I was treated nice. I definitely will be back. The food was delicious and the place is really romantic especially at night. It's simply magical.
I've fallen in love with la malindina. I'll definitely be back.
Bliss Home is very clean and comfortable. There are big windows in the bedroom and lounge room and sliding doors out to the verandah. Everything is new and modern and it is very safe. The rooms are cooled by fans. A cool breeze comes in to each room which is fabulous. It has everything you need and there are not many apartments in Malindi at this cheap price. It is very private. Than you Prudence!
The property was just as described. Ruth our host was very kind and helpful.
The place was very clean. Well equipped. 2 bedrooms with air conditioning , 2 bathroom (hot shower), 2 toilets.
The swimming pool was just amazing to the eye.
The place is just perfect for someone looking to relax.
The beach was a walkable distance.
The staff were very friendly and helpful even suggesting places to visit. Of note is Bernard (Manager), Mugande (housekeeping) and Furaha (security). The pool was clean and we all had loads of fun in the 3 tier pool. The location is perfect with ease of access to town and the beach. The property is quiet and allows for a good rest.
The location is a 15 mim cab ride from Malindi airport. The property is large and check in is pretty standard. The staff were efficient, friendly and quite helpful.Beach access was a plus.Food selection was good and the food quite tasty. I used their spa and their hydrotherapy pool is a good option.
The facility was clean and serene. The staff was very friendly. It is not far from the beach. The swimming pool is a nice addition as well. The place is cleaned throughout the day, which is very, very nice. The air-conditioned rooms make sleeping more comfortable. Overall 8/10
Everyone was friendly especially the manager Christine so conciderate,.the room was lit.so clean very close to the beach.yea I loved it.the staff were always available when you needed anything.location on point.ill definitely refer my friends
The hotel is located at a good place, the day and night guard at the main gate have good PR. Proximity to the beach is excellent, transportation readily available if you don't have a car.
