Its an impressive looking hotel and has a convivence store inside. They offer rooms with a view over looking the bay, but rooms looking at the city are also nice. There are multiple choices for food on site and there is a boat service from the back of the hotel. We had issues with our first room and the staff sorted this out for us which was much appreciated. This was done in a professional manner and staff at checkout were very good and went out of her way to apologise for the inconvenience, I left the hotel with a better impression of the hotel thanks to her.

This is a city of great historical importance and I felt humbled by the way the people of Japan and citizens of Hiroshima have rebuilt this city devastated by nuclear bomb. It was deeply painful to visit The Hall of Remembrance and see and hear a choir of school children singing near Children's Peace Monument. Those who are rattling nuclear sabres today should remember Hiroshima. Despite painful history people of this city are wonderful. Anywhone visiting Japan should see Hiroshima.

Hiroshima is a great city.
Hiroshima is a great city. The peace park and museum were very touching. It is incredible to see how the city has been rebuilt and is thriving. The day trip to Miyajima island is a must with a hike to Mt. Misen and seeing Otorii shrine.

Hiroshima is a thriving city now, which we were glad to see.
Hiroshima is a thriving city now, which we were glad to see. We walked around on our own one afternoon and had an excellent (and moving) local tour of the Peace Park and related memorials the next morning. For lunch we had a delicious local Okonomiyaki. For dinner we tried oysters done in five different preparations, as it is another specialty of the area. (They are quite large, however, and not our favorite.)
We never got to the castle or gardens, and did not visit Miyajima, which is why I would have liked one more night. But it was enough time for the basics. We would recommend that everyone take the time to visit Hiroshima. It is part of our collective history and essential now to understand the dangers we all face in today's volatile world.

We were independent travellers.
We were independent travellers. Hiroshima was easily accessible by public transport especially with the 'Free' JR pass hop on hop off bus. 3 separate circuits gave us plenty of choice. The 'Peace Park' precinct was a great focus for a day or even two.

Atomic Bomb Dome, Peace Park/ Museum and Miyajima were the highlights of the trip to Hiroshima,
Food for vegetarians is a bit of a challenge in Hiroshima; Margherita from Pizza Hut was atrocious.
Getting around is easy with good public transport.
Would avoid a budget hotel like Apa in future.
Hotel is above the JR station making it very easy to access Shinkansen, local trains and the streetcar (tram). This worked really well for us as we (1) arrived and departed Hiroshima by Shinkansen, (2) travelled to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial and Museum by streetcar, (3) Miyajima Island by local train (and then ferry), and (4) went to city shops also in streetcar. Loved Granvia Hotel’s “Dish Parade” restaurant with its buffet of attractively presented meals and desserts. Very attentive staff throughout hotel. Stunning foyer.
The hotel is located perfectly to see everything in Hiroshima, from the Peace Memorial Museum and the Atomic Bomb Dome to Hiroshima Castle and the shopping areas, and is very well connected by tramway. On top of that, there's a convenience store right besides the entrance of the hotel. The hotel staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about how to get around and what to see as well. Finally, the room is small but it had everything I needed to enjoy my stay at Hiroshima.
As you walk into reception, the hotel certainly has a calm, pleasant feel about it. The staff were very friendly. I can't remember what floor we were on, but it was high up with great views of the city. The room itself wasn't massive but not as small as what I think the Japanese standard is in other cities. As expected, very clean. It's in a great location to explore the main parts of Hiroshima. It also offered great value for money. I'd recommend!
The location is the best to view the Hiroshima memorials, including a view of the Atomic Dome outside of our room window. We could easily walk to all the important places. The people in the hotel helped us with everything, including how to travel to the ferry to Miyajima, securing a taxi the day we left for the train station, and even mailing our postcards on the morning we left. You will not be disappointed if you chose to stay here.
The location is within walking distance to the Atomic Bomb Memorial, and Honduri shopping street with plenty of shops and eateries. Traveling from Hiroshima train station to the hotel has a bus service with a bus stop almost right in front of the hotel. The staff are very helpful, polite and professional. The breakfast at 25th floor has a good variety of food especially the Japanese selection, and a fantastic view of the city.
We very much enjoyed our stay at this stylish boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Hiroshima. The location could not be any better, within a short walking distance to the peace park, shopping and entertainment districts, and well connected to the train station and Miyajima via the tram nearby. The small gift shop and cafe were real pluses! The bar - a repurposed indoor swimming pool - was also beautifully designed.
This is a cute little hotel that gives the vibe of a small Japanese apartment. It includes a fridge, stove and cooking materials. There was a lot of space along with tatami mats, my favorite! They also offer breakfast, which is a noodle salad with a light sauce. The hotel is a less than 10 minute walk from Hiroshima station located in a quite neighborhood next to a school.
Quite new hotel in city centre of Hiroshima, close to shopping, restaurants, and short distance from JR station and sightseeing sites.
Room is small but has everything needed, staff is friendly. Nice to have laundry in hotel.
Breakfast is simple but meet all expectations (local food and continental breakfast).
Hiroshima City Bunka Koryu Kaikan was amazing! We really felt comfortable there and the staffs were super lovely with us.
We can’t recommend enough this hotel.
The location was amazing really close from the main attractions.
The room was spacious and it was super clean, tidy and comfortable.
Really stylish room and hotel close to the centre of Hiroshima, and a short walk away from Hiroshima Castle and the Peace Memorial Park. Smooth checkin, and the tokens to use for drinks and treats in the bar were very welcome on a rainy day! Beds were very comfortable, and bath was fabulous.
Beautiful views in all directions. Ferry to Miyajima island stops at hotel - very convenient. Excellent buffet dinner on 28th floor. Only drawback is transportation to and from downtown Hiroshima- wait for hotel shuttle, public bus or taxi (about 3000yen).
Three minute walk to Hiroshima Station, the room was large for Japanese standards, comfortable bed and quiet at night. The price per night was exceptional for the quality of the hotel and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again if I ever return to Hiroshima.
The hotel was the perfect location to stay in Hiroshima. The views were amazing, both in my room and at breakfast. The staff was very attentive and the venue was clean. I loved that they had laundry facilities (which my next hotel did not).
Friendly staff, comfortable room, great amenities and rooftop bar! Price was reasonable and included breakfast! I liked that it was close to the Hiroshima Peace Park and downtown. I also liked that the hotel had guest laundry services!
Amazing location, the place to stay in Hiroshima. Lovely guest services like washing and communal places to sit outside of your room. Amazing shower and bathroom facilities. Overall such a pleasant and cool hotel
Brilliant hotel in the city centre of Hiroshima. It provided absolutely everything what was needed for our stay. Breakfast in this place was fantastic. Great buffet and a lot of selection for anyone's taste.
Everything is perfect and I definitely choose this hotel when I go to Hiroshima again!
The price is great, facilities are awesome and the staffs are kind. The best hotel I have been to Japan!
