If you plan to stay at Debed canyon, do not search anything else, than Iris B&B. Irina is a fantastic host, we enjoyed a lot the talks during dinner and breakfast. The foods were great, it's a pity we could stay only one nigth. Definitely recommended, hope to come back once.

His mother met me and showed me the apartment. The top floor apartment is lovely with an amazing view of the city with balconies on both sides. Just a side note, it is in a soviet building so keep that in mind with your expectations but it is a very nice place. There are markets, banks and pharmacies just a stone's throw away. Transport to the rest of Armenia is about a 5 minute walk away.

This was a pretty interesting experience for me, not a usual stay, do not be prepared for a convenient hotel stay. Unfortunately we weren't there on the right season, so bees were passive and quite. We enjoyed good conversation and she even made us a “special tour” of the city on her way to the groceries(We stayed there in the off-season. There is a TV and a fridge in the room. It was super clean and comfortable. Location is in quiet Amoj village, easily reachable by car, 15min from Alaverdi. We had a delicious and big breakfast with the owners, they are super nice :)
