Kutchan is a lovely city with friendly locals and widespread English proficiency, making communication easy. There are plenty of options for renting or purchasing snowboard gear, which is convenient for enthusiasts. Overall, I will definitely return to Kutchan.

The hotel shuttle service was also top notch and extremely useful for our family with the only requirement being some organisation to know when you would need the service! The studio room was perfect for us, with a huge bed and a nice little kitchenette if you want to relax and cook in the hotel one night. Everything in the room was very luxurious and clean.

The hotel shuttle to the mountains were awesome, just wish I knew about the one to and from the train before arrival as we caught the local bus, the hotel shuttle would have made it much easier. Overall loved the stay. I will definitely stay at Torifito hotels more often

The decorations are superb in lodge-like way. The staff can speak English and some Thai (lol). All facilities are at its best. Also, AEON MaxValu (closed at23:00) and Lawson are just 1 min away by walking. And Yotei Mt. view from the hotel is superb!

The toilet is good. Warm toilet seat, adjustable pressure for water spray and even air dryer and air freshener after using the toilet! Also appreciate there's a 24-hour convenient store next to the hotel.

They also have free fans to use in case the room isn't cool enough for you. also a plus they have a restaurant inhouse for breakfast and dinner. Onsen is a super plus!

This was a little bit of late reservation but easy check in, comfortable beds, it has everything you need! Location it is about 7-10 min walk from the station, not bad! Keep in mind it gets harder to walk and drag your luggage in the snow. Definitely would come back!

It’s still a walk down a couple of traffic lights to get there in the snow so plan to take smaller luggage or just carry backpacks.
